Stupid thread to bring up, the only ones who should be embarrassed are the ones that took the time to trawl through threads that are 5 months old so they can pretend they knew Blackpool would be fine when the vast majority had them as relegation certainties. I think what is more embarrassing Irish, is the fact you haven't understood that the whole point was that no one knew or really thought Blackpool would be safe, but merely suggested airing on the side of caution because of what we did, and us not starting to sound like the supporters that wrote us off so easily. Anyway if I was Irish, I'd support a team such as Linfield, then I wouldn't need to be on a Stoke message board! Oi North , good response mate H

They've done well so far but it's going to be very, very interesting to see how they deal with the fixture pile-up later in the season after they've had so many games called off.

Blackpool are currently only 2 points worse off than Hull in 2008/9.
As I can't see Holloway giving his team a dressing down on the pitch at half-time any time soon, it is unlikely that they will implode like Hull.
With 12 home games to play, even if they do falter I would expect them to be able to scramble enough points to survive.
As Manchester City are the only team to have won more away games than Blackpool this season, I actually expect them to survive fairly comfortably.

At the start of the season I was ignorantly convinced they'd be down by Christmas.
Having actually watched them, I think they'll finish top 10. Other than Man Utd and Spurs they're the best side I've seen at the Brit.

A credit to this league and what can be achieved playing 'football' with very limited resources as we saw first hand what is capable in having REAL central midfield players.
Hope they stay up and im pretty confident they will.

I have said for a long time now they will survive this year but won't next unless they invest. Fair play to them for what they have done so far !

Holloway used to play hoof it and kickem football when at QPR but you have to admire how he has adapted his team to play in the premmier league. Good luck to Blackpool they are a joy to watch. Just wish we were.
