Before floodlight's what time did team's kick off ? Was there a set time ?

Dunno mate but I do know the first floodlight game was at Pompy against Newcastle in the mid 50's

We definitely used to kick off at 3:15 I think it was summat to do with the with shifts though I conna be sure.

2:00pm in mid winter.
Home cup replay's (for some reason) 1:00PM the following week.
The 3:15 ko time was to allow the shift workers more time to clock off, get a pint and get down the ground for ko.
