It would be a great achievement but not worthy of a statue - well not straight away. It would be strange having a statue of someone still at the club - statues are more of a tribute some time after the event.
Once he has won the premiership title with stoke then he can have a small plaque maybe.

Yes . Any manager that gets Stoke out of the Championship to the Premiership deserves it , because its a great achievement for a Club such as Stoke that as been in the wilderness for so many years .
