I went in 2008 and was sat right at the back, amazing atmosphere but would have liked to have sat further forward

I have been twice mate Barca v Madrid (stag do) 2004 barca won 3-1 and the atmosphere in the ground blew me away sat on the top tier, after the match we couldn't get transport back to our hotel due to the police closing the roads, people partying everywhere fantastic.Other match Barca v Bayern (2-0) 2007 in the champions league on a weds night it didn't kick of until 10pm Spanish time again a fantastic atmosphere (sat near the front) in the ground but didn't party to much as with wife and kids but still well worth it. My advice get tickets from the official booths that are scattered around Barca and not the hotel as they put a surcharge on them. I thought the atmosphere was better on the top tier but I was on a stag and very pissed, wherever you sit if the stadium is more than 3/4 full you will have a brill time.

Cheers folkes. Did the stadium tour when on a family holiday about 10-11 years ago. Do you think I should get the tickets in advance or risk leaving it until we arrive in Barcelona, 2/3 days before the game? Its the first home game of the season against Hercules.

Not sure I agree with loyalist as a couple of years back they were playing Valladoid who were near the bottom of the league, cheapest tickets were €75-80, the rate of the euro was shit then as well.

As previously mentioned unless its Real Madrid, tickets are very easy to come by
They usually get in the region of 85-90,000 so there are still plenty of seats available.
We sat on the third tier against Real Mallorca, and although it was an average game, just seeing the likes of Ronaldinho, E"to and co was a marvellous experience

Like everyone else as been saying, get them from the official ticket booths / office around the stadium. I went last season and it cost me 20 euros, I got the ticket the day before the match. It was an amazing experience
