Need to get round to watching The Damned United, have the DVD just not got round to watchign it yet. Does it include his first game in charge against us?

Read the book instead, I was born in 1979 but it conjures up what I imagine the 70's and football of that era to have been like. The rest of Peace's stuff from that era is mighty depressing though.

The Damned United is a superb film.
Don't think the Clough film were too keen on it though.

The film and book are both good as long as you remember it's a dramatisation and not the absolute truth.
There is another programme on about him called The Best manager England never had. People roll that cliche out as if it's undoubted fact. IMHO he wouldn't have been a particularly successful as England gaffer. He wanted it when Ron Greenwood got it. He'd have done about the same as Greenwood did.
