news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/10557996.stmHospitals are to be moved out of the NHS to create a "vibrant" industry of social enterprises under the proposals. He also said he would be relaxing the rules which cap the amount of income a trust can make outside the NHS, opening the door to them seeing more private patients. Our glorious first gay couple are laying the foundations to sell off the NHS Give it 2 or 3 years and you'll see the same situation with GPs as you have with dentists now, where its almost impossible to get registered without paying through the nose. Yet again, cheers dave....... ....you cunt!!!!!!!!!!!!!

not want the majority wanted ?... on what basis can you say that ?
if you add up the proportion who voted lib and con you do get a majority, whereas labour got less than a third of the votes at the previous election.

'Vibrant' in terms of going back to a pre-1948 health service We'll be back to the equivalent of panel doctors, if you want to see the health gap between rich and poor get twice as wide as it already is, watch this space. Bastards.

yup, if you think that the nhs will end up privatised you're very deluded Not 100% privatised, nearer a US model of one system for the rich/insurable and another for the rest. How we used to be before the NHS in other words. I'm shaking hands on a bet with you that in 3 years time the NHS will be way more privatised than it ever has been in my lifetime. See which of us is right?

this is a quote from the shadow health minister "It is a huge gamble with a NHS that is working well for patients."
he clearly has never been treated at a nhs hospital !

yup, if you think that the nhs will end up privatised you're very deluded Why do you think they are lifting the cap on the amount of money a trust can take from 'other sources'? If patient A comes in with private health insurance and unlimited funding and patient B comes in as a NHS case, who is the GP/ Consultant going to take? Hospitals already treat patients from the likes of BUPA by staff who are paid by us, in hospitals paid for by us and using equipment paid for by us yet the amount of them is reasonabley small because they are capped. As soon as you lift that cap, it's enevitable that the non private patients are going to suffer. Couple that with the abolition of the strategic health authorities, there will be a complete lack of orgaisation and rather than patients being sent to the best place for their treatment, they will be sent to wherever is more financially rewarding for the refering GP. It will also mean the loss of advanced training for staff and maybe even the closure of facilities like cancer screening centres. It is a very sly and sneaky way of doing it, but they are doing it.

''If health was a thing that money could buy ,...then the rich would live and the poor would die...''
Those who will suffer are the sick, disabled and the elderly.
....and all those who were apathetic and voted for the coalition..ie Liberals and conservatives.
I have no sympathy...You've made your bed ...now lie in it.!
