Back in the USA so not sure who got the biggest audience for the final ITV or BBC. Surely no fecker would watch it on ITV...would they?

BBC.
ITV is fucking shit, and the adverts are fucking annoying too. Especially when they take priority over goals for fuck sake. I want to see the Iniesta winner, not an advert for fucking Peugot.
Adrian Chiles can fuck off too.

Thanks for the stats Fullermagic. I am stunned that nearly 3m people would pick ITV over BBC...they must like the ads

The bbc's (or pundits- hanson) bias towards spain was very annoying though! Almost turned over cuz of that.

Yeah BBC were biased towards Spain but Linekar pisses all over Chiles as the main host. BBC pundits are far better (Lee Dixon has been really impressive) and Guy Mowbray and Lawro piss all over Clive Tyldsey? and Andy Townsend or Jim Beglin.

I watched the live game on ITV because I can't stand Mark Lawrenson but then flicked back to BBC for the half-time and full-time analysis.

Guy Mowbray is a vile little cock. Why? I watched it on ITV because that's the channel the pub had on, don't really know why though.

Lawro's report from Spion Kop a week or so back was worth the licence fee on its own.

I had to watch ITV as I hate Mark Lawrenson so much with all of his desperate and unfunny puns.
Plus I think Adrian Chiles does a far better job than the ugly big eared orange skinned cradle snatching crisp eater and the let me do all the talking because I love myself so much but am jealous of all players because they're all better than me Alan Handbag.
Plus adverts rock as it gives me time to fetch another beer and take a piss knowing I'm not missing anything.
Think that covers it.

Watched most of the game on ITV as Lawrenson and Mowbray really just don't do it for me. Did turn over quite a few times though to add some entertainment to the game. Found BBC's analysis at half time nauseating so flicked back to ITV for the ads, which were highlight of the match. Turned off on the final whistle to watch a couple of flies crawling up the window as I felt I deserved some excitement.

i may be behind on the times but how come john motson wasn't commentating on the final? that guy mowbray isn't up to scratch! They didn't think an old man making sex noises every time Spain were on the ball was appropriate for the 7.30 kick-off. They were thinking of letting him take over after the watershed at 9 but Alan Hansen used up all of their creepy old man erection allowance during the half time summary.

They should have got gareth southgate, andy townsend and adrian chiles to be the negotiators with raoul moat, he would have killed himself alot earlier.

Jesus fucking christ, who thought of putting them lot together? Wank. I actually thought Southgate was good, he spoke a lot of sense. Agreed on the other 2 though mate. Southgate was the main one saying the England players need to take a lot of the responsibility. Andy Bellend was blaming Capello.

I listened to a podcast the other day that had an interview with one of the guys that presents the cycling for Eurosport (I think his name might be Gary Imlach). When asked about his right to comment on pro cycling races, given that he had never ridden at any sort of decent level himself, he suggested that there is such a things as 'too many insiders' when presenting a sports programme. He went on to cite football coverage as a fine example. It rung a certain truth with me.
I didn't watch any of the English coverage as I'm in Oz but was there a single guy who wasn't a footballer commenting on the games in SA?
