All this talk about Ronaldo becoming Man Utd`s highest scoring winger has got me wondering who is Stoke`s highest scoring winger ever?
Oscroft, Burrows, Newlands, Coleman, Ormston....? Somebody out there wil know, I`m sure!

Tim Coleman scored 26 goals in 1956/57. No other winger has ever got over 20 goals in a season. Hangs anorak on coat hook.

Harry Burrows got the highest global total though I think, 68 goals in 245 games. Sir Stan scored 54 in 321.
Hangs anorak on next coat hook...

njkk. You can't start disallowing goals 50 years after the event. Coleman scored 7 goals in the game you mentioned, which remains an English League record for a winger.

I'm proud (but not pleased, because it was soooooooo long ago) to say that I was there that night.
PS. it was in the 8-0 v Lincoln and if memory serves me right, the last goals he ever scored for Stoke?
