BBC but does anyone else get the impression this whole world cup has been a massive inconvenience for Lawro?

I must be on my own, but I realy like Lawro. He's almost becomng a parody of himself, which makes him funnier. He was having a bitchy running battle with the commentator last night.

Agree whole-heartedly with kyleLightbulb. Clarence Seedorf has been the best thing about the TV coverage. Very knowledgeable and articulate man who gives a sensible perspective to all of his comments. He's also taken strongly to the whole 'football can make a difference' view of the World Cup, has his own academy in S. Africa and is an all round top fella.
Great player too.

BBC for me. Although Lawrenson does grate on me an awful lot. He justs very little sense. It's a shame Holland are in the final really, as this'll probably mean Seedorf won't be one of the pundits. He's been the only decent person in a very poor gaggle of pundits over the two networks. Surely Holland in the final pretty much guarantees a place on the sofa for Clarence? I thought he might work on Dutch TV for the final. Some of the pundits are doing work for their 'home' countries networks as well as bits for the BBC. I think Lineker has done some for Spanish as well, seeing as he is fluent in that tongue.

Thankfully I'm at work, because from the stadia to the vuvuzela, the wank support to the level of football played, the shite host nation to the cheap, classless ambiance of the whole thing; the entire event has been utter dogshite. If that's the best Africa, as a continent, can offer in terms of culture etc; then they can stick it up their arses and I hope it's never held there again.
On a global scale, each and every team should be ashamed of themselves. The standard of football has been absolutely atrocious.
I won't be arsed about the final but my choice would easily be the Beeb. I hope ITV goes down the shitter completely.
I also like Lineker, Lawro, Dixon, Hansen and Shearer. They might have pops at us now and again but let's face it, we're an easy target for the dross we serve up.

ITV for me, why? I hate the fact I have to pay the Beeb for a TV licence when I watch all my TV through Sky which I also pay for, I hate the fact I'm paying twice to watch the same thing - Rip Off Britain imo

Of course I knew why the "Kop" ends of several football grounds were called that - but to see the site and hear the story of what actually happened at Spion Kop was quite moving.

Your Sky sub is for the premium content which YOU choose to have.

That's exactly the point, the BBC is a not for profit broadcaster, respected around the world for quality and independence. Just ask anyone who lives abroad about the quality of their commercial TV !!!!! Once you bring in advertising it goes down hill quickly.
