If (or when) we do go up, our formation will be immaterial as we'll get absolutely battered every fucking week. We'd end up with less points than a fork.
We will however come back down with a shed load of cash and after a couple of boings up and down, we might be able to establish ourselves. That;s what it's all about.

Like I said in the wankstains thread...

Let's be serious here for a minute: it will be the first time the Prem has seen a back eight plus two sweepers.
lol
if it keeps us up i really wouldn't mind!
38 0-0 draws, 38 points is normally enough these days isnt it?

True, still have games to play this season yet tho. I think Tone will keep it the same probably, but he will need to bring in some more. Preferably a prolific goal scorer, a winger and another goal scoring creative player.

i think our home form will be key, than again our away form in this division isn't that bad, but it's a big step up.
a with most teams it will be a case of beating the teams around us

No doubt, it will be the old Pulis, and much like Derby this year. 14 goals isn't it? Even if we played 42 games in 84/85, they are worse now.

If ever there's a manager you want when you need to stay in a league it's Tony Pulis . we'd be favourites to come down but we could do a reading or we could do a Derby . either way promotion would be the best thing to have ever happened to this club .( except of course the re-appointment of Tony Pulis )

I honestly don't believe we'd do a Derby, we've got too much strength of character and so's Tone. With a settled side and half a dozen quality additions to the squad we can survive and in a less physical league that demands more skill it needn't always be ugly, that's not what I'm expecting anyhow. What we do have up our sleeve though is the ability to close it down and do hoofing ugly if we have to (which is one of the things, sorry kinnell, that make me more confident now Nash and Riggott are on board - it would be the worst irony not to go up now because we couldn't be ugly enough when it came down to it).

After years spent knocking the Premiership as evidence of all that is wrong with football today, to suddenly be part of it would be rather odd.
It would be a struggle to stay up and some of our football would have to be of the General Custer variety, but our club would never be the same again with the amount of money even just one season up there would put into the coffers.
