Not sure i would be too happy sitting in a temporary two tier stand, sounds like an accident waiting to happen.

The commonest temporary stands are stands at golf tournaments. Can't say I've ever seen a two tier one on TV.

anyone who was at the England games in Charlerio in Euro 2000 will recall the 3 tier tempory stand on 1 side & the 2 tier one behind the goal
terrifying & excilarating in equal measure

I believe their "temporary stand" is some kind of modular system, And will probably be more like the Away End at Fulham, than the temporary stands at Gillingham, brighton etc

Cheers ID. I hope they manage to pull it off. It would be sad for the club if they had to play their first season in the Prem in front of a max crowd of 17k or play at another ground. 22k although not a huge capacity is at least respectable and not that much lower than, for example, Reading and Hull's grounds.
It would also mean that an already attractive away day for any club in the North, would also have the ability to accommodate a decent number of away fans. They'd have to provide 2,200 tickets but they might go as high as 3,000 which would be nice.

Test cricket grounds regularly have temporary stands for thousands and I'm sure I have been in a two tier stand
Difference is that cricket stands don't need a roof which must be much more complicated

The temporary stand at Charleroi for the World Cup seemed to have a roof which was independent of the two tier stand beneath it. Obviously it would have had some connection to the stand but it wasn't dependent on the stand. i.e. if you removed the stand, the roof would have stayed up on its own - or that is the way it seems from the pictures I have seen. news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/681032.stm

If Blackpool council has anyone with half a brain working for it, they;d organise giant screens on the beach showing all Blackpool home matches. They'd get thousands of extra punters into town. Stoke's visit would be like the Brighton relegation celebration.

Someone who lives around Blackpool should sneak in and stand in front of the webcam with a Stoke kit on, or put a Stoke flag right in front of it ;D
