Looks like points total needed for Promotion will be lower than usual and Total needed to avoid relegation higher than usual
A sign of a poor league this Season ???
Not as I'm complaining as long as we benefit by going up !!!! ;D

I wouldn't say a poor league, just that the teams are all capable of beating each other. There is no one team that has run away with it.

More likely a sign of a highly competitive league IMHO. Because one or two teams are running away with it and the same number are cast adrift early in the season, this really isn't an indication of a strong league or a poor league if top and bottom are closer than usual. Although I can't stand American sport, I understand the philosophy there is to make their leagues as even and competitive as possible, again not an indication of a poor league, but more, one where most teams are in with a shout of something up to the end. This season anything over 80 points should be enough for promotion and 50+ may well be needed to avoid the drop. Stoke will amass 84 points, so that's ok then.

Is it a poor league? It might just be that the teams are a lot better this year? Are Scunthorpe & Colchester bad teams?Perhaps the Championship is underestimated you only have to look at who is left in the FA Cup. ??? ??? ???
