Hardly ground breaking news Dave.
We should set our aims higher than a division 4 player.

Sam Vokes - Bournemouth
young, quite a tall guy (pulis style) and has scored quite a few goals this season even for a team just above Fail ;D

Ok people! First of all i've seen alot of this lad & trust me he aint a Greenacre. He definately is good enough to be a top championship player & will be a decent premiership player of that i'm sure.

I don't know the lad from Peterborough but I do agree that Halmosi of Plymouth should make the grade at a higher level.
No doubt TP will want to add some experience to the squad if/when we get promoted - that is his way. But I would have thought that as newcomers to the Premiership and needing a dozen or more additions to the squad, we will HAVE to take a few risks on unproven players from the lower leagues, if only to keep the wage bill down. Halmosi would certainly be one I would gamble on and who is to say that a few other hidden gems in the lower leagues will not also be as good.

It's getting ahead of ourselves, but surely a mix of some of the top talent spotted in the Championship over the last season or two (Halmosi would certainly be one, maybe James Beattie to be a superior version of Sidibe?) a few Premiership reserves (Eagles and Campbell at Man Ure? Sign Nash/Fulop and Riggott permanently?) and the odd foreigner who is tempted to sign for us just because we would be in the Prem should be eyed up to strengthen us for the struggle ahead (which I have no doubt it will be).
We would need at least half a dozen reinforcements to bolster our thin squad, and how TP spent the cash would have a massive bearing on how we could compete. Do it as poorly as Billy Davies did and it would be a long hard winter.

We asked about Halmosi in January, but were put off by the price, but IMO would be a great addition
