A couple of things that I've been impressed with about Nash. First of all I think he's been excellent considering his first job for SCFC was to get the ball out of his net against Burnley.
Secondly I noticed on the penalty yesterday that Paul Gallagher points out to him to dive to his left just before it's taken, but luckily he dived the opposite way and pulled off a superb save.
Think I would probably go with him for the rest of the season barring a sudden loss of form, even though I rate Simonsen highly.
Thoughts?

He's our new Crossley but this time he could take us up rather than keep us up. Very good on crosses, commanding his penalty box and shot-stopping. Kicking is rather poor off the ground I think. We definetly have the best keeper duo in the league.

The difference between him and Simonsen is his clear command of the box. You watch him whenever you see replays of him, or watch him at a match - whenever something happens, he's always communicating and the defence know when it's his ball.

simo just carn't deal with crosses and does not command his area like he should, nash should carry on in goals until the end of season we have come so far now to let in a few silly goals.

simmo must be pissed off though ! True, but no room for sentiments in this game. If you can get someone in better, then get em'. It's the way you improve the team. Then again, if we get promoted I can see quite a few being pissed off

we should keep nash in goal because since he has been in goal we have had 2 clean sheets in a week and when we has simmo we only has 2 clean sheet in about 4 months

I feel a lot more confident with Nash in goal than Simmo, both class keepers but Nash is much better on crosses and seems to add that extra bit confidence the back 4 have been lacking for some time. Plus with the addition of Riggott the defence seems to have settled down after the shambles v saints/scunny.

Plus with the addition of Riggott the defence seems to have settled down after the shambles v saints/scunny. And QPR, and Preston etc etc. Nash seems to have brought exactly what we needed to our defence, a commanding keeper who confidently claims crosses and lets his defenders know exactly when it's his ball. Unfortunately Simmo just doesn't do this. He gets away with it when he's behind a defence with good leadership from the likes of Taggart and Higginbotham, but the partnership of the inexperienced Shawcross and shrinking violet Cort meant that the leadership burden passed over to the goalkeeper. Unfortunately Simmo failed miserably. He's been a fantastic keeper down the years and if we bring in a more commanding defence in the summer then he may well earn his place back again. But for the time being we simply have to stick with Nash there's no room for sentiments at this stage of the season.
