I'm English, NOT British, thank you very much!
Take it as a compliment though- it's as good as a win for them! They'd be gutted at drawing with some shower of shit like Scotland or Wails.
Plus I thought Clint Dempsey showed some good prowess in the Attack Zone and took advantage of England's Netminder. England just didn't take advantage of their EAY (Estimated Attack Yards) yesterday, and Heskey's STP (Shots To Points) record was poor.

That is New York's version of The Mirror, an embarassment to journalism no doubt. But that was the best draw I ever saw! When we fell behind I thought this was gonna be WC 2006 all over again, but they picked themselves up and put in a performance. Would rather be lucky than good any day!!!!

Mailman, You're a yank right? (in the English sense not necessarily from the NE USA). It's a shame not everybody got the irony of the NY Post headline. (I do slightly recall the context but only vaguely.) Having said that I think the NY Post is a Murdoch rag so I think the comparison is best made to the Sun. Still a load of old shite though. I actually quite hope the US do well in the tournament.

That rag is owned by a Brit, they are just "taking the piss." trying to get a reaction. They could give "fook all" about soccer (football). Laugh it off for the poor journalism it is and don't think for a minute it is a microcosm of the US's views on our staunchest ally/older brother.

To be fair, the whole... British Isles (everything, including one completely different country), UK (everything apart from Ireland but including N. Ireland), Britain (everything apart from all of Ireland), England, Scotland, Wales, N. Ireland (separate countries but all governed from London, in England, but at the same time have their own parliaments, and compete in some sports together and other sports separately), Ireland (different country altogether but the same island as a little bit that is part of the UK) ...can be a bit confusing to the rest of the world. How the hell do you start to comprehend all that if you're used to "one country fits all"?! Havind said that, I suppose you'd expect a massive national newspaper to have a vague idea about it.

As far as I am aware it is owned by Murdoch's News corp. Murdochis no Brit, he must despise this country. He was not born here, doesn't live here and not happy with deliberately dumbing down vast swathes of the media has helped turn our national sport into a greed ridden circus and has made an absolute fortune whilst contributing about as much tax as the average 20 a day smoker. When, inevitably, the Shangai red devils play Paris Gunners and the coverage on 'radio sky live' is riddled with adverts he should finally be shot for crimes against Britain.
