Green - one dreadful mistake cost us bug time. Cole - OK defensively, but going forwards? Nothing. Best left back in the world? Terry - OK defensively. Was nothing in the set pieces, and didn't dominate in the air at set their set pieces. SWP - bottled it with his big chance in the second half. Lennon - bottled it with his big chance in the first half. Picked the wrong delivery pretty much every time (though he did beat his man). Lampard - nothing apart from one long range shot. Milner - went to his head. King - his lack of fitness was the reason he wasn't playing and now caused him to be subbed so early, Carriger - one reckless challenge, and got done for pace once. Lucky to stay on. Otherwise OK. Hesky - was great but that Mama style miss. Oh dear.

You missed out Johnson.
Would he even get in Vale's reserve team.

Not a fan of Johnson (a defender should have a clue about defending), but thought he played OK tonight.

You missed out Johnson. Would he even get in Vale's reserve team. Johnson wouldn't be high on my list of those who played poorly tonight. I was surprised at how completely missing Milner was. As the original poster said, World Cup stage must have got to him.

Milner was useless in the friendly he played. He looked like a lost little kitten in both games. What Joe Cole has to do to get a game, God only knows.

I thought backwards Carragher was shite, on more than one occasion in the closing minutes we needed some urgency, and he just dithered, then passed it backwards in a manner that suggested we were 7-0 up.
How he's in the squad i'll never know (ok, he can play all along the back four - BADLY)

Oh, and he also got skinned, easily for that shot which Green saved onto the post, i think Algeria have two really quick strikers, so that will be fun against Grampa Carragher (who doesn't even want to play for England, oh sorry, that's all changed now, forgive and forget eh? Twat!)

Johnson , Gerrard, Cole, Heskey and it pains me to say Terry are the only players who can be happy with their performance.

Hello Boston, where did you watch the game and what was the atmosphere like, did the americans get out and support their boys or was it the usual where half the country did not even now they were playing tonight, must have been strange watching it over there.

why was rooney playing in the center circle then running round fetching the ball like a ballboy Its a problem in his game when he plays in the hole that SAF has noticed and decided that playing him as a lone striker with three midfielders given licence to support him keeps him more central and high up the pitch where he can do more damage. Capello take note.

Johnson didn't to defend last night as the Yanks posed no bloody threat.
