No big mention of them but from the teams around us I fear these more than any other at the mo, game in hand and currently in good form ???

I think they've left it too late tbh, plus i don't think they're actually good enough. I'm seeing them at Leicester next week so will have more of an idea then but doubt it

As likely to lose as win like any other club in this Div at the moment. We thought that it was a possible 4 horse race I tell yer right down to Plymouth they are all still in with a shout of auto its who has the nerve right now.

Good at home but poor away
So, yes, a little. Good news is they are home to Watford in a fortnight. By then they will have had 2 away games including their game in hand - make ground on us in them and we should worry more.

Don't forget to let us know how they go on, from the clips I have seen them play recently they look damn good in front of goal. Folan top class

That Folan has come to life just at the time they needed him to, he did cost 1.5 mill though didnt he?

IMHO They will be in the mix for a play off spot but probably have not got enough games left to exploit their current good form. They have also got a couple of toughish games left, Watford home and Ipswich away

We have known for a while now that we have relied very heavily on Ricardo's goals. We have also been lucky that Lenny and some others have been on hand to put the ball in the net. Granted the goals have dried up but TP knows how to grind results when things are going a bit sour.

Stoke-fan-23 you talking to me? I am not saying I know everyting or anything about football, just been playing it all my life and supported Stoke for most of it. Just stating Hull are looking good anything wrong with that? Is there? Let me know who you think are looking good and why and I will judge you on your choice.

prem - you make a good point. Someone else posted similar last week. However, I think norfolkstokie is right, they've left it a bit late to go up automatically. I think a few others though - Charlton, Wolves, even Watford - might wish to be on Hull's form for the playoffs.

They are currently playing well, and fortunately we dont have to play them again this season. They are definately play off contenders, as for automatic though im not sure. Id be worried about them if we ended up in the playoffs against them, because we struggle against them at home

Yes - a very good outside bet for automatic promotion. If they reach top on the 4th May, they won't need to worry about the jinxed dip in form that follows! C'mon Stoke. Win all our games and these won't be a threat. Otherwise, they're right in there.

i always think that the team that comes into the play offs late hits form at the right time, no matter where they finish. Hopefully well have our place in the prem league booked by then

I'd say the team we have most to worry about is us. We don't seem to have played well for about five games now, even though we have managed a win and two draws from them. We urgently need to recapture the form of the previous five games - they weren't entirely a fluke. If Hull catch us, we'll only have ourselves to blame.
Cheers, Steve.

I think Hull may sneak a play-off spot, but cannot see them catching us. If they did then we would have to ask serious questions. They just having a good end of season run, some team usually does it every year. They were playing a woeful looking Southampton though

If Hull do overtake us from this position, we can forget all about, even, the play-offs! They're the side that everyone refers to as coming through the pack. Serious play-off contenders and possible winners, but auto. - I don't think so.

I agree with y-o-y - I reckon the playoff final will be between Hull and one of the current top 4.

I agree with y-o-y - I reckon the playoff final will be between Hull and one of the current top 4. It looks that way but then I thought that about Charlton a couple of weeks ago. The beauty of this league is the ability of every team to look good for a few games before stuffing it up. Hull are pretty poor away up to date and have 5 out of 8 games away in the run in. That's why we're going to go up - we don't look good but we keep accumulating the points. Astro is right - the only team we need to fear is us.

Fair point - but they do look a very improved team of late.
Plymouth are another dark horse who might sneak into the final mix.
