I think swine flu was supposed to be a bit more dangerous though wasn't it? I think I was trying to get at the fact that if you have it and know it is contageous, you are putting other people at risk of a nasty infection (granted, Swine flu had more serious consequences for some). It shouldn't be up to you to decide whether its best for other kiddies to get it early doors, or that pregnant women should stay at home etc.

On saying that, most fcukers who had swine went out anyway and let's face it we've all got to get it. Should we all stop driving because there's a percentage of people who will get knocked down and killed? It's all part of the pampered world we live in really for people to make such a fuss about nowt

Perhaps having contagious chicken pox without knowing it is like having a car crash caused by a stray deer running into the road - nothing can be done to prevent it. It's bad luck.
Knowingly having chicken pox and going out is like having 5 pints and driving. You are aware of an increased risk to those around you, but decide to go on regardless of the consequences.

Not wanting to drag this up (though clearly i am ) How do pregnant women deal with having their own toddler with chickenpox? Do they avoid their own offspring for the duration of the incubation period? I'm genuinely asking

Maybe there is some preventitive medication they can take, or just stay away as much as possible?

Knock the infant out with say ...... A house brick, then cover the child in lime dust and bury
this should stop the mother worrying about catching the nasty germs
