So a kind of 3-4-3?
With Bothroyd and Cresswell tucking in when we don't have the ball?

I would think that when we are under the cosh we will play 5 at the back.
And when we need to attack we will play 3 at the back and push the wing backs forward.

Surely a kind of 5-4-1
Griffin Cort Riggott Shawcross Dickinson
Cresswell Delap Whelan Bothroyd

They're going to be dangerous on corners/set plays so i guess we need as many big'ens in there as possible.

I never liked the wingback-system, it usually takes better players than what we've got to work

Surely a kind of 5-4-1 Griffin Cort Riggott Shawcross Dickinson Cresswell Delap Whelan Bothroyd Fuller ??? Who's on the bench? Yep, I suppose it could well turn out to be more a 5-4-1, Chris. So we may not be 'going for it' after all. Time will tell

All made possible of course by the calming influence of both Nash and Riggott.

i think with playing this team he will keep s all guessing.
this team he ahs set out will be able to accomodate the change from 5-4-1 to 3-4-3 if needed or opposite if were hanging on.
good call for me

So we may not be 'going for it' after all. Time will tell We may not exactly be 'going for it', but I don't think that's a bad line-up and certainly one that could get a goal or two if needed. I suppose ultimately we need to make sure we don't lose hence TP's formation.

It's certainly an interesting decision.
He's got lots of ways he could change it during the match, hasn't he?

How gutted must Gally be? All the excuses that Pulis used yesterday as to why he isn't starting
Hasn't played many games, getting used to the players, our wingers are already ace
and then he goes and puts a player straight in the 1st team who
Hasn't played many games this season only met our players yesterday and he starts on the left wing

(although not today) If i was Gallagher i wouldn't bother getting out of bed on an away day match

Why change the formation for such a massive game. If TP has done this he is going to get slaughtered if we screw up in a big way today. Agree with Pugh and Diao not playing mind.

We have conceded too many goals this season and if we can keep it tight we know we have got dangerous players who can nick a goal or two
I think Nash will also help give the defence a bit more confidence and Riggott will give Cort and Shawcross a bit more leadership.
Come on you rip roaring potters!!!!!!!

Gallagher ain't got match practise . . . and TP has said he's more of player he see using in home games.
The fact is we need to play the team that will win the game - I think Gallagher won't be too concerned.

Although He has a good job, I'm not convinced by Pugh as Left Back especially when the Left Winger is naturally a striker
