The wife and I and my daughters 6 and 9yrs are are season ticket holders, my kids asked if at the end of the end the game if they could go to the front and get some autographs. My eldest has a Tuncay20 shirt and wanted to get it signed. (not sure why ) I did say you may not get Tuncays but players will sign stuff etc. But to my disgust not one player came to the side, I believe the players were under instruction (I know Wilko and he said he would come to me outside) Surely when the kids are there and people have a bit of time on the last game, players could be given time to just do this. My 9 year old was in tears as I was as certain players would be able to come to them etc and would get her shirt done, I as good as promised as much. However. As we left the ground Tommy came to the car park gates and started sighing stuff and as we waited for him Tuncay came to the fence behind the burger van. I got my daughter to take her top off (poor girl) Asked Tuncay if he would do it he said yes of course he waited whilst I got a marker, I threw it over and he gladly signed it, Many people came but even though his friend/manager/agent? was pleading for him to get going, he waited a while to sign many shirts etc., he even gave someone his track suit top. A Stokie asked if he would be staying at Stoke he said. something like. Yes, I very much hope so. I know he's come in for some stick. I booed him when he marched off last week but he was very happy and willing today, when he didn't need too.

I'm pretty much basing that on Whitehead going into the crowd to hand his shirt over to Block 19.

maybe the "lap of honour" was done like this because the people at the end of the lap, haven't got all night to wait for the players to come round, because they have taken 6 hours signing everything stuck in front of them ... just a thought

The kids were waving pens and programmes to gain their attention, there wasn't 100's perhaps a dozen or so, and got completely ignored.

If you want to treat the kids then take them down to the training ground one day. The players hang around for ages happily signing shirts and posing for photos.
I agree with ID, being in block 17 I didn't want to have to wait hours for them to get round to our bit.

I shall, and yes like I say I do under stand that, but we were right at the end and then stood there chatting. I guess people could then moan they have signed stuff at the end then and not here.

I really hope Tuncay stays. There is nothing wrong with his attitude. His pride has been hurt this season at times and his passion has sometimes come across as arrogance.

I have a funny feeling Pulis will start Tuncay and Mama up front against Fulham, I truly believe he has a future at our club.

I agree with this, somehow Kitson and BT are history, there may be a dictate from above that Tuncay stays?? Lets see if this time next year we are all worshipping the ground he walks on...

Well that was just bloody foolish mate. You didn't know that they would or could and you promised y' kids something you couldn't deliver. That's your fault and no one elses.

What it needs is Tunny to come out and let us fans know the reason of why he heads down the tunnel whenever subbed, then we might understand.Personally I would love him to stay as he has something to offer.

That's your fault and no one elses. Yes it did turn out to be foolish, and I apologised to my daughter, as I said You may not get Tuncay's sig but I'm sure someone will sign it." (Not unrealistic surely??)) It may be my fault, but that wasn't my point, standing 15ft from you when kids and toddlers are waving pens is my complaint.

Matty Etherington gave someone in the Boothen his shirt during the lap. I guess the players don't have much time to stop and sign stuff (otherwise they'd take ages getting round). The point of the lap is to show their apprecition to all the fans - not sign autographs for those who are able to get to the front.

Ive supported Stoke for 40 years home and away of which 20 Ive lived a long way from Stoke
Ive never been given anything or got anything by 'luck', I live too far away to get to training for autographs etc (my lad is 12 and an avid Stokie) we would love to go today but cant drive all the way back to Stoke for a 3 hour 'party' when we spent £60 on petrol yesterday.
Do I feel hard done by - NO - Do I get fed up of moaning 'local' Stokies - YES

I'm with you Hoekstra, I think Tunny does have a future here, (If we keep him then it sends a good message out to players that fancy coming to Stoke over summer too) much more so than Kitson or Beattie anyway!

I know we all have our opinion on the matter, but I reckon the manager likes Tuncay and wants him to stay and wants him to succeed.
I fully expect him to be here next season.
For what its worth, I watched him closely during the warm up and closely for the short time he was on the pitch. I've got to say, i've never seen him so relaxed and smiling so much.
A full pre-season and we will have a much better player on our hands - providing we get the wide man on the right we desperately need (either a fully rejuvinated Lawrence or a new winger).
