Any chance of a paraphrase Grapey please. My PC speakers are poking out of the top of our bin as we speak

the important bits from that are that Gally will NOT be playing tomorrow, so you can forget about him replacing Lawrence, and that if Mama's injury is for any length of time, we could be in the market for two strikers rather than one.
With Bothroyd arriving today, reading between the lines, the Nugent deal is still on or at least Pulis is hoping it is still on.
The midfield for tomorrow will be Delap, Whelan, Pugh, Cresswell.
If Diou plays, Pugh will revert to left back, and chances are we will need 3 goals to win the game!

I think Nugent is maybe holding out for a part in Pompey's FA Cup run Dave.
If Brazil beat them in the semi, then I think we could see him for the last month.

maybe! Unlikely that he will feature though, particularly if Pompey are prepared to let him out on loan.

Dave johnnno: i agree, by the sounds of that, there's no way Gally will play or at least start.
Even though the words said otherwise perhaps the tone ("radio body language") said no.
& Why does he call him "Siddibby"? ;D

Why isn't Gally playing? He hasn't got a knock or something?

Basically because Pulis thinks he is a luxury, and referred to the fact that he sees him more as someone who is ideal for tight home fixtures.
He also referred to the goals of Cresswell and Lawrence, which makes it impossible to drop them.
He won't start tomorrow...of that you can be absolutely sure. The crucial question now seems to be..."Will Pugh play in centre mid, or will Salif continue with Pugh reverting to left back?"

Looks like TP views Gally in the same way as he did Hooky
should see him (Gally not Hooky) start v Blackpool then.

After listening to Pulis, you'd have to put Gallagher's chances of starting tomorrow somewhere between Periwinkle and Bob Carolgees.
And yet he could well chuck a lazier, moodier, more inconsistent showboater straight in?
He clearly doesn't like what he sees?

I've long since given up trying to understand the workings of Pulis's mind, such as they are!
As you say Grapey, he seems to have made his mind up on Gallagher on the basis of one half of mediocre football up front at Wolves, and has never started him in what seems his best position, attacking from out wide, yet it looks like Bothroyd (who looks to be an inferior version of Fuller) will go straight into the starting line-up. Then again, he is 6'3" and black, just the way TP likes them (not meant in a gay way).
Pulis just doesn't fancy (not meant in a gay way) Gallagher.

Strange one, has Gally fell out with TP i wonder over the lack of football! Ud like to think if Fuller and JB play tmoz then surely the hoof tactic will have to end(no Mamady flick ons!!). Whelan being the only one who can make a killer pass and what i saw of Gally against QPR he was the only bright spark! Gally has to start or is TP worried about Watford kick ten bells out of him tmoz??

Pugh back to left back possibly? Don't do it TP! What has Dickinson got to do to make that position his against the inferior Pugh?

Dickinson has to play left back because not only is he a brilliant out and out defender but he sticks to his task like a rash.

Pugh at LB instead of Dicko, nooooooo!
If I didn't think TP had been so consistently wrong playing Salif while not match fit I might be more willing to listen to him about Gally, he's really wasting talent imho.

What happened to the veil of secrecy over our team selections? Indeed! Didn't he criticise us - the fans - for "telling the opposition" his tactic? What happened to "resting tired players" when it applied to Hoefkens, but not when it applied to Chadwick? What happened to good old HONESTY? To say nothing of INTEGRITY! Forget CREDIBILITY altogether. And some people dare ask why he's unpopular! Gally won't play because it wasn't Pulis's idea to sign him. The man's stubbornness borders on arrogance.

I really like how tone complains about fixtures for the fans and says players earn shit loads a week so doesn't care about what they think of travelling.

VERY interesting interview. He says Gallagher is a man for home games. Understood, NOT for away games. It got the impression he will try to defend our goal to the last man. A very dull game I will presume. He's NOT there to get a win... obviously.

I really like how tone complains about fixtures for the fans and says players earn shit loads a week so doesn't care about what they think of travelling. If this is sarcasm, it'll go over the heads of most people. As far as I recall, he moans about the travel at every opportunity. Frankly, it's one of the few things I agree with him about. Too many decisions made by pillocks who don't care about the fans. After all, why should they? They get freebies and don't have a day job that pays peanuts in comparison. Tayman - his complaints about travel are because he says players are tired. He's possibly right, but at the end of the day they do nothing else but train to play football!
His comments have never implied it's because he feels desperately sorry for the fans.
As for the "doesn't care what the players think because they earn loads of money", I doubt that's true at all.
As always there are two sides to an issue. I'd like yours to be true, but it's unlikely IMO.
