Am I being harsh in saying that this new keeper lacks a certain something. The missus says we can't judge him on one Chelsea game but I still think he isn't good enough for a first keeper now Thommo is out.
I know Simmo flaps like a chick thats fell out of it's nest but would it be better to recall him for the last three games/

No dave. This is his ideal opportunity to show us what he can do. chelsea was an unfair game to judge him on, 3-0 and no mental preperation that he'd even remotely be called upon (ie, not as though Soro was a fitness concern prior to the game). A week of prep, mentally and physically in a home game is a good place for us to see this lad imo

Well he won player of the month for Pompey in the Prem. I reckon the lad is the real deal and now is ideal to get him in the first team

Impossible to judge on that game, listen to your missus mate.

good to see you keep up with your own team's goings on there Mr Coates, but he is already back ! he's only the wallet, leave off him. according the rich list, uncle pete has had to get a lot more of them this past year, so he's probably not the favourite anymore

I thought Begovic looked good against Chelsea.
And Simmo is already back, as has been said on about 5 different threads now! ;D

Made a very good save and kicked it to Stoke players. For conceding 5 goals I though he looked a good 'keeper. Miles better than Simmo anyhow.

Would have been good for Dave Parton to sit on the bench and get a taste of being in the matchday squad, but if Simmo is back, then Simmo it is.
