Its very tight. 3 points separate 7 clubs and Vale are in the middle of that bunch occupying the final play off spot.

Can't believe I'm seeing Stokies encouraging the great unwashed. Would love to see them slip up in the very last minute before getting to their sister ground Wembley (it's called "Vale Park of the South") As Danny Baker would say "Nothing can go wrong now!"

Just what i was thinking, and i hope the answer isn't "it's good for the city" I don't hate, and never have hated, Vale. I see them as our less fortunate (and less hygeinic) little brothers. I like to take the piss and engage in a bit of local rivalry, but ultimately I want them to do well. The hatred I have for Arsenal, Liverpool and Wolves far eclipses anything I feel about little old Vale.

listen, plenty of Stokies back in the day went to Crewe and Vale, and helped keep those clubs afloat when re-election came knocking.
How did they thank us? By acting the tw@ when they were above us, that's how.
Last match of season, whoever they are playing, 98th minute winner off the ref''s bell-end, with the Soapdodgers needing a point. That would suffice. They can rot in hell for the crap they've given us over the years.

they had a decade of being tools. I haven't forgot and I, like many Stokies have good mates who are Vale.
They are still more deluded and bitter that Burslem shower than the biggest Citeh supporting plum and a good day for them is us losing and Vale losing.
Always have and will be far more interested in Stoke City than their own club. That's Vale.

I used to work with a 'Vale' supporter, the term is said losely because he stopped going probably over 15 years ago and he absolutely hates Stoke with a passion. I strongly feel that the hatred for Stoke was stronger than his love for Vale. A lot of times he did not know Vale had a match for example and yet he was loved hearing about a Stoke defeat.
Every now and again he would bring up a joyous moment in his life when we lost 7 - 0 against Brum, and how the commentator was informing the listeners of the crowd reaction/trouble. He also on numerous occassions commented about the day we and Man C got relegated in the same season.
The fact that his face would light up when talking about real low points in our history says it all for me....small time, bitter, sad acts.
I can never wish them any luck....you'll never get them wishing us any.
This city is only big enough for one club!!

Went today, good game. Really good first half. But Adams as bad as Pulis in that the team tried to sit back for the last half an hour and nearly paid for it.

You know what I really aint arsed, however if I had to choose I would rather they stay put. The only reason for this is if you have seen One Fail Fan around half of the time there are digs at Stoke. There is only one emotion other than dislike for this team and that is Pitty.

A warning from history.
The stronger Vale are the weaker Stoke become.
When we were at our height in the 70's, Vale and Crewe were applying for re-election.
As we slipped down the Leagues, Vale and Crewe went up them.
I fear a promotion for Vale could hasten our demise.

Good luck to them. I hope they do it. They are no more or less bitter than we are. It's good for the city. If it creates a bit of banter then so what?

Nay,Nay & Thrice Nay.
Just behave for a minute, the sad Vagrant twats hate us, the biggest cheer to go up at Fail Park is and always will be if Stoke are losing at halftime they revel in any misfortune of ours more than any of their pitiful achievements.
So fuck em I say let them stay where they belong in their rightful place in Div 4, they're comfortable there, if they start climbing the league they'll only start blaming us for everything when things go ratshit for them, there's nowt more happier than pigs in shit, let them wallow
