Radio Stoke say the team are traveling to Watford straight after training this morning. 2 nights in a luxury hotel before a game just north of London seems a long way from going on the coach on the morning of the match. Anyone would think we were playing in Warsaw, rather than Watford Certainly looks like we're leaving no stone unturned in trying to get preparation spot on before away games?

unprecedented that.
send the right message to the squad,re the importance of the game. should be mega focused now.
fair play to Coates as well for paying the extra days hotel bill.
presume the players will get Monday & Tuesday off?

Good news. If it works well and is helping the players then I totally trust Tone's methods.

The impression I get from the team (inparticular Simmo) is that they detest staying i hotels for away games. They would much rather be with their other half.
However, thats the idea isn't it. This is their job, We do things in our job that we don't like but we have to do it otherwise we would be looking elsewhere!!
Two nights seems a lot, but if we win on Saturday it will be well worth it.
Come on City!

Two nights away pre-match does seem to be overkill, and probably will piss the players off a bit, with the time away from the family and boredom of 48 hours in a hotel.
But I suppose Pulis must see the likely benefit outweighing this.

its not that bad really being away from there families for 2 days, what you have to remember is any other day they can be with there families more than most people, its not like they do 8 hour shifts 5 days a week is it

The players have stayed in a hotel overnight before every game this season, home or away. When you see the players attitude and read articles about the togetherness of the team it looks like this has worked. fuck me if you offered me £2k a week to spend 2 nights away from my wife i'd snap your hand off
