sorry mate! I have tried to move an image from the desktop into the url space which accepts but does not show. Think you might have to open the image thro safari or explorer then paste the url link.

Don't see why it should be any different for Mac users than it is for us PCs. All you do is go to your profile, select modify prfile and put the url in the Avatar URL box (obviously this has to be an image on the internet somewhere and not your own computer). For instance my avatar is www.merlinmediavault.co.uk/images/avatar_4602.gif and has a width of 80 and a height of 70.

Most people find images already on the internet (google "Free Avatars") but if you want to use your own image you need to upload it to your own server. You may need to check with your isp for instructions.
Who is your ISP?

Willow open a free account with photobucket or imageshack or any other free pic hoster. Upload your pic then they normally give you a link to the image if not jut right click the image and then get the url.

Depends on where your image is from? Try uploading to flickr.com and grab the photo's url, then paste into your profile page.
Will take you 5 mins tops to register and upload images!

applemacman, no I haven't mate but just looking at it on the web may get one for the imac. I haven't been using mac's for long but see why people love em. They are so less clunky than the PC and the imac is a lovely machine plus you can even use boot camp to allow, get this....WINDOWS on a mac what a mad world.
