It emphasises yet again the dearth of quality English players to pick from.

my 3 would be : 1.hart 2. robinson 3kirkland That's the 3 I'd take as well to be honest. However, we all know it's going to be... 1) Green 2) James 3) Hart/ Robinson Not looking too rosey is it eh? .

No mate. It's very unrosey.

Hart is probably the best shot stopper in PL but he needs more all-round experience in commanding his 6 yard area before he can be named our no1. Afraid James is still our best all-round keeper imo.

Totally agree Hustler with this thread. Hart has done enough this season to show that he is currently our best choice. James though will probably get the nod due to his experience with Hart and Green as back-ups presumably.
Maybe after the WC it's time to phase out James and start with Joe Hart as the future. It may be dire at the moment thinking of watching Rob Green between the sticks but with a future keeper like Hart, who I rate very highly, England seemingly have a good future.

I'd take:
Hart James Kirkland
And you'd have to say Hart should be no.1 based on form this season.

thats my opinion, don't rate Green and certainly don't rate Kirkland.

Can't see past Simmo On a serious note, Green isn't good enough to be the goalkeeper for England, and to be honest the only keeper demonstrating that he is that good is Hart, but will his youth creep in when it matters? David James is great on his day, but there is too much inconsistency in his game for us to really trust him. So the basis of this is, that right now we are going to have to take a risk on a position that is absolutely integral to our chances of anything in the World Cup. So for me, 1. Hart, 2. James, 3. Robinson

Hart and Robinson, then James as number 3 for me. Scott Carson comes in at about 793.
