So Shawcross almost certainly missing again And God help us if Ethers AND Fuller are unfit. We will pose literally no threat without those two. Quite a shocking indictment of the rest of our team really.

We'll be unlucky if all are unfit but with relegation not really a worry anymore I'd love to see the likes of Moult, Lund, Marshall etc given a chance. Also not forgetting the likes of Wilko, Lenny and Tunny waiting in the wings.

Kitson and Tuncay as a front two don't look too shabby to me. Put Liam on the right, stick Rory on the left (not ideal I know, and Matty is the biggest miss for me, but we do get his throws!) and Deano and Glenn in the middle, and is it really so doom and gloom?

Yes, jezza, because without Fuller there's no chance of the ball sticking up top and with no pace in the side, Stoke's ability to counter-attack is non-existent.

Whilst there's a chance of overtaking last season's points total we need all hands on deck. It's not time to blood players like Marshall and Lund really is it?

We haave been fairly lucky with injuries (including Matty given what we first thought). If you are going to get three/four (dependant on your view) of the first team starters out, now is the time when we are safe.
Sneaky suspicion Matty and Ric will be back - very unlike Stoke to come out and say this isnt it - usually find out on Radio Stoke when they announce the teams

If Etherington had one leg I'd still give him a run-out. He should get patched up. Pulis may use Fuller as he has done on a number of occasions when not 100% coming off the bench if things aren't going our way.
As Jezza said, I'd like to see Kitson and Tuncay given a go up top.

More hoof-ball shit with no threat apart from the embarrassing 104 throws!
God help our sanity afterwards because i can't take another horror 90mins like last week!
Team SHOULD be at home-
Begovic
Wilko Huth Faye Higgy
Liam Whelan Whitehead Delap
Kitson Fuller

I can see Bolton beating us on Saturday. With those players missing and them up for a fight, we could be in trouble

If Mama and Fuller are out, anybody else think we may see a return of Beats? I'm not advocating the idea of bringing an out-of-form, unfir, uninterested striker back into the lineup, but as long as we have Mould on the bench and Tuncay on the pitch I think we could full well see a team of;
Sorensen Wilko Huth Higgy Collins Lawrence Whelan Delap Tuncay Kitson Beattie
Doesn't look that bad. Who knows, Beats might want to stay or get himself a decent new club. Could have a blinder, and better than relying on Delap on the left.

Another performance like Hull and Wolves and we'll lose ! What a clean sheet you mean and little or no threat to our goal? Bolton are a decent enough side but we have enough in our locker. Ironic that some were celebrating certain players being injured the other day and are now posting on this thread concerned at the possible casualties for the weekend.

i wouldnt look to much into it to be honest players are often doubts for games but normally they prevail it could simply be mind games with ethers and fuller fingers crosserd

I'd be surprised if Fuller and Etherington are both out as Pulis normally over-eggs things a bit.
But going in with:
Lawrence-Whitehead-Whelan-Delap Tuncay-Kitson
would leave us looking a bit toothless, to put it mildly.

Sorensen Huth - Faye - Higginbotham - Collins Lawrence - Whelan - Whitehead - Delap Tuncay - Kitson Bench: Begovic Wilkinson Pugh Amdy Faye Lund Beattie Moult However, I have a feeling at LEAST 1 of Fuller and Ethers will make the bench and be used IF necessary.
