Relegated Everything now seems to revolve around the premier league but it's always sad when a team falls out of the football league altogether. It's easy to forget what English football is all about so good luck to Darlo next season

It is a shame for them. But football teams need support in order for them to do well and Darlo just don't have it. I mean have you seen their stadium? It's about the same size as the Brit, and is really nice looking, a lot like the riverside stadium, but there attendances this season have been about 1,000-3,000 I suppose the problem is is that people around Darlington will probably support the bigger teams around the northeast like Leeds, Newcastle, and Middlesbrough.

Indeed mate, the odds were certainly against them and unfortunately the factors you have mentioned have inevitably been their downfall. You have to feel sorry for their hardcore though, it can't be a pleasant experience but i'm sure they'll stick with em and have plenty a good awayday in the conference

A lad I work with is brother-in-law to Ryan Kidd, who is assistant manager at Darlington. When he asked him what the plan was,he replied 'the only way is up'. Isn't it about time the right and proper test for football owners, was a right and proper test??

George Reynolds was/is a twat. Is George Reynolds the safe-cracker? I watched my first football games at the old Feethams ground back in the 60's. This is a part of my history. It's quite sad to see them drop.

Excuse me asking, but although it doesnt look good for Darlo, they are not definetley down yet, 12 points behind Grimbsy with 6 matches left ??? But there are two teams relegated. With 6 games to play, Darlington are 19 points behind Barnet and Cheltenham who are in 22nd and 21st places, so Darlo are relegated. Darlo's stadium is going to be amazing for a Blue Square Premiership side! Reynolds who built it was an idiot - it should have been built no more than half the size it is given the league position and crowds Darlo could attract.

Although it is sad, I think they have made a tremendous appointment by getting Simon Davey in as gaffer.
