Hopefully he's as good as McCarthy who went to Wigan.

Also linked with West Brom. They like their hardly-heard-of-South-of-the-border midfield playmakers in Smethwick.

I'm slightly sceptical TBH. Who was the last Scottish player who was any good for Stoke? Bill McGarry? ;D

Sounds like an agent's story to me. The agent is even named - take no notice of this tosh.

There may actually be some mileage in this story.
Willie McKay is a known, close associate of non other than our assistant manager, Peter Reid, who used him a hell of a lot at Sunderland.

McArthur is in the same mould as McCarthy at Wigan. Hamilton have been better this season than last simply because of this boy's form and still only 19. Some debate up here whether he is better than McCarthy, I think they are about the same but need to play at a higher level to progress. Wouldn't go straight into the team but one for the future. We would get him for £2m no probs.
