Just looking at the report for Scunny v Plymouth. I was shocked that Plymouth took 417 fans up to Scunthorpe. That is a very impressive figure. On the back of a home defeat, fairplay to their fans.
Makes our 351 at Norwich look paltry.
Just an observation

very poor away following considering our league position, however I wouldn't blame anyone for not bothering as it's a dear do when the games are coming thick and fast.
Plymouth have an excellent away following. I guess when your nearest game is about 150 miles away you get hardened to the travelling!!

Plymouth have always had better away followings than their home crowds would suggest. I think part of the reason is that they do have a lot of exiled supporters - more than we do in percentage terms. This may be down to economic factors - like Stoke Plymouth has had plenty of declining job opportunities but Plymothians, Devonians and the Cornish may be more willing than N Staffs people to move elsewhere to work.

Since Exeter dropped out of the football league, I think that Plymouth are the only League club in the whole of Devon & Cornwall - potentially, a very large catchment area.
