They get auto-qualification for the Europa Cup - so Liverpool could finish 8th this year in the league and still play in Europe next year

UEFA are looking into the idea of the winners of the Europa League qualifying for the Champions League as a way of increasing the competitiveness & popularity of the Europa League - but as it stands Diaofan is spot on.

The prize money is a tiny amount for it as well, unless this latest rebranding changed it substantially. For some of the bigger clubs you might as well give them a tenner, if I remember correctly if Liverpool win, it might just cover Torres, Gerrard, Carragher and Reina's wages for a week.

It was bandied about, but it isn't happening. They only get auto qualifying for the same competition.
Which is fair enough.
