I was thinking on Monday how do miss it. Whilst I don't want to return to the league there are certain things I do miss about it, like the added fixtures both midweek and bank holidays. Another thing I miss is the away matches, the likes of going Norwich and Ipswich. Not only for the drunken days, but also visiting clubs with real supporters, not the likes of Johnny Foreigners sitting in the stands waiting for their half time prawn sandwiches and a chat about the stocks and shares. The last thing I miss about it, is how unpredictable the league is overall. Thank you for the great days my old friend.

Dont miss it at all. The cold midweek nights in a game versus the likes of Scunthorpe or Barnsley.
Now we get to rub shoulders with the best in the league.
The CCC was an experience, hopefully we wont have to witness it again.

what i'd be gutted about most if we went down, would be losing some of the awesome players we've got at the minute

Nah, don't miss it at all. The Prem is a bit of a circus but it's the only place to be.

I miss some of it, but I wouldn't swap it for where we are now. The fans are more real, and i'd much rather have the away grounds, than the expensive cramped ones we now have to put up with.

I miss it.
Don't get me wrong, the Premier league is simply different gravy, but part of me pines for decent supporters instead of jumped up tools, sensible prices, good awaydays etc.
I hope we don't tutn into deluded weapons like some have and keep true to our roots of being a loyal club who knows its roots.
Would love Forest to come up though, top awayday.

The only thing I miss is the prospect of being able to come up to the Prem, so not massively, no.

I miss it like I miss smoking fags. Intensely and short lived. If you go back then you are condemned to wanting nothing more than to escape again.

There are certain aspects that I miss. Grotty midweek victories at Scunthorpe spring to mind. I also like the fact that memories of matches are only consigned to what you see at the match. In the Prem, you see replays from 10 different angles and they are available at the touch of a button. The prospect of getting promotion was intensely thrilling and nothing will ever touch that (apart from perhaps a cup win).
However, what we have always strived for is to be in this league. I wouldn't change it for anything. The calibre of players we have (and are coming up against) is on a completely different level to two years ago and it is a tremendous achievement.
As the Colonel hints, it might be nice to sample the Championship for a few weeks, but it would be a disaster to go back in the long run (not that you are suggesting this as an option!!)
We've had some good times in the Premier League, but there was something nice about the lower leagues. Seeing some nutter shouting through a megaphone outside Portman Road preaching about Jesus and the Tractor Boys is something that just wouldn't happen at Anfield.
Thought provoking thread though son, I like it.

Hole in the head mate. See every game now. This is so true. For those not going, for whatever reason, it's no bloody contest.

I see your point with the 'real fans' but the prem is the best league in the world. the championship is depressing and neglected by the media.

The Prem is the only place to be, but there are many things down there that The Prem takes away from us. Actually having a chance to top the league is one of them. Playing regularly at 3 on a saturday is another.
Being in The Prem is a different world. As an analogy, it's Disneyworld Florida as opposed to Alton Towers.
