Comes to about £100+ with the travel and the beer.

Time for standardised away pricing I think, no more than £25 a match. They should also consider the costs of travel. For example fans of other London clubs might be more inclined to pay £48 for a match ticket as they would have to pay little for transport. Fans of clubs like Stoke, or Sunderland even, would have to cough up for train fare or petrol too making it a very expensive day out.
To think the average ticket in the Bundesliga costs about ten euros.

If they made it £20 or £25 a ticket for away fans and a tenner for U18's/OAPS then away followings would increase, the working class would be able to afford going, the atmosphere would improve at grounds and then home fans would enjoy the game more and would be attracted back. The reason we have kept so many fans since we got promoted is the atmosphere and how this makes the games so much more enjoyable.
It really isn't rocket science is it but still nothing gets done

All have stopped going due to prices and 'morgue like' atmosphere. Off the subject slightly - met a decent Villa fan at Staff Services at the weekend. He and his lot go to every away Villa match but refuse to go to any home matches due to the 'telly brigrade' who just moan

Boycott it, fortunately I can afford the ticket however we should stick together and give Chelsea two fingers. Why should we pay the earthe so that Terry Drogba and Cole can earn a six figure weekly salary? Fuck them.

When I started reading this on the official website I was wondering how much lower the actual price was than the ones previously advertised, I actually laughed when I saw they'd gone up! It's ridiculous.

48 quid is crazy. Would get a lot of publicity if this game was boycotted by Stoke fans. Usually travel to most away games but for once am not going, when you add on travel etc it is nearly a third of the cost of a Stoke season tkt. I think I am right in saying that Watford I initially returned their allocation for an fa cup game because it was too much at Chelsea. Think Chelsea then reduced the prices.

question !!! does any one know what the price has been for ALL the away premiership matches this season, not friendlies etc, just the away prem matches, we have been every one, so would love to know what it has cost, total cost divided by total matches = what ? per match? i can remember the expensive, and the cheap, so what is the total cost as an average over the whole season. including fulham, chelsea and man poo plus the wolverines = 35 + 45 + 45 (man poo ?) + 38 would be intersting to Know, to see what average price is over the WHOLE season itrs all right to moan about individual matches but taken as a whole, what is average price this season, somebody get the calculater out, please,

To think the average ticket in the Bundesliga costs about ten euros. I bought this up about 18 months ago,as friends of mine go to French matches and pay about 10-15 euros for a match. All I got off most fans on here was-well we're cheap in the Premier League-and? So you are happy to accept the prices of tickets just because it is the norm? That seems to be the attitude amongst the vast majority of football fans in this country. I was watching the baseball on ESPN the other night and a family of 4 could get:-4 tickets,4 hotdogs and cokes, parking and a programme for $59,which works out at a touch over £40.Now who is being taken for a ride?
