on talk shite this afternoon he actually said that the stoke/ west ham league cup semi final in 1972 was the greatest ever cup tie, but as usual his facts were all over the place. he stated that the banks penalty save was in the 2nd replay, when it was of course at upton park in the 2nd leg, and then he claimed that their substitute keeper (bobby moore) saved a penalty, but failed to say that mickey bernard put the rebound away. he also insinuated that terry conroy horrendously tackled bobby ferguson in their goal so that they had to put moore in goal.
