First season back in the old Div One wasn't it? Peskyd!ldo would be my guess, all me programmes are at my Mum's house so can't check
My first game was in 1992 vs Reading, we did them 3-0 and Bertie Biggins scored at least 1 (I think 2 with Steino the other). Awesome awesome times

Carruthers! He must have had more one-on-ones that season and next than any other player across his entire career.
And scored about 3 of them

It was an own goal. It pinballed around the penalty box and spun in. An appropriate way to decide a game of utter shitness. Although the whole mood was more about hoping Lou wouldn't go to Celtic than the game.
Went the beer festival that night. That was much better.

I'm 51. I first was taken to Stoke by my Grandad and Uncle (God bless them both!) in 62/63 season. Much to my frustration I can't remember my first game.
The first game that really sticks in my mind was v The Villa, Stoke won 6-1 and Harry Burrows got a hat-trick, I think it was 65/66
My first away game was v The Wolves possibly 67/68. Stoke won 4-3. It was a really foggy day and we couldn't see the goal at the North Bank. We only knew Stoke had scored when the players came back to the centre circle and Wolves took the kick off.
I can honestly say that through all the good times (of which there have been few) and all the bad times (of which there have been many) I've loved every single minute of it and I'll be City 'till I die.

I've just turned 47 and my first game was Sir Stan's testimonial in '65, though I was too young to appreciate it. My first league game was against Everton in '69.
Had my share of highs and lows (too many!) since then, but I'm hopeful that this season may just bring a repeat of the highs from 1972, 1979 and......erm....

Born in 59, first game in 67 against West Ham, we drew 1-1.
Went to the FA and league cup semis and final in the early 70s, what a preiod that was, unfortunately we thought it would last forever.

I am 37 and have been a Stokie since 1987. My dad though who is computer illiterate (but gets passed info from here through me) was born in 1934 and went to his 1st Stoke game in 1939. He was one of Stan's biggest fans. Incidentally my grandmother dated SM before he met my grandfather. I am not sure whether to be jealous that I am not Stan's grandson or just be grateful I exist at all! Hmmmm.

37 been going since our last big promo season - 1979. Can't remember my first match but can defo remember first match on the boothen 24 Nov 1981 (i think) we were playing Bolton Wanderers and drew 1-1.
Always remember standing next to colum B perched on me little wooden stool made by me dad. Always used to wear a proper Stoke hat which I used as a remote control for the game. If opposition were attacking hide me eyes and twist to the left - if we were attacking leave straight but twist to the right. Oh to be a youngster again.

But started going regular from 83 onwards..cant remember the first, I spent alot of times then blind drunk, and didnt realy pay much attention to who was who.. times have changed since then.. sober, and I know the team now.. hope Steino scores tonight..
