Tony Pulis whisked his players off to Norwich at 10am today to ensure they get enough rest ahead of tomorrow's crucial Coca-Cola Championship clash at Carrow Road.
Pulis had his first-team squad in early for an hour's training on the Britannia pitch before setting off for East Anglia.
He explained: "We'll have them bedded down for an hour or two this afternoon and just go for a walk around the hotel grounds to relax.
"Then we'll have another light training session tomorrow to work on one or two more things.
"Rest and recuperation is so important between matches when you're playing three in a week and travelling to the likes of Norwich and Watford.
"We are trying to leave nothing to chance when it comes to preparation and giving the lads every chance to rest up in a peaceful environment."
Pulis reported no new injury worries in the wake of Saturday's 1-1 draw with Burnley.
Striker Adam Rooney has, meanwhile, been granted a second month on loan at League Two strugglers Bury.
The young Dubliner, who has so far scored once in seven appearances for the Shakers, is now scheduled to remain at Gigg Lane until April 12.
