Every other week he seems a bit pissed off....especially when he gets subbed by Tone.
Do you think he'll want to stick around next season or seek a move away..? ???

He looks like a gypo, and plays hard.

IMO no..i cant see him ever fitting with T.Ps style of football.. Againg IMO T.P is is quite happy stoke to be a mid table team. Hes done great things for stoke but i think he has reached his top of his Capabilitys thats why he doesnt know how to handle high profile players.if next year he buys few top class players T.P will try to play same style of football we all know and came to accept from stoke today..

He again shook his head when he was called out by TP to get warmed up Saturday.. The signs are not looking too good TBH!!

Think he gets fucked off because he wants to play in every game. They guy runs his socks off and to be constantly overlooked in favour of a "striker" with no form and a awful scoring record must annoy him just a little bit.
If he goes in the summer I will be gutted because TP will only replace him and the outgoing Beattie with another couple of centre backs.

Tuncay and TP's philosophy of how the game should be played are at different ends of the spectrum....Tuncs wants to be a free spirit on the pitch trying the unorthodox whereas TP is work ethic organisation and sticking to a game plan 100%. I seriously think they detest each others characteristics and the relationship is unlikely to last beyond the end of the season. TP is happy with one maverick in the squad and thats ric Tuncs is one too many. I always hoped it would work with Tuncs, I have always been a big fan, but come the summer he will be off abroad probably back to Turkey where hes adored. In the prem I could see him at maybe West Ham, Wigan or god forbid West Brazil

If he does go and is not replaced, what do you think the reaction will be like from Stoke crowd, looking at what happened against the Villa.

why doesnt TP play him as a sweeper between defence and midfield. Tuncay wouldl be ideal in this position . Put your thinking cap on for next season TP. For me begov or sorenson wilko ryan huth Higgy or new player tuncay glenn new player deano ethers new striker

Who though another bloody defensive mid. The only thing pulis looks for on the right is a long throw. No creativity or crossing or cutting cutting in and shooting.

No creativity or crossing or cutting cutting in and shooting. I doubt we'll let a striker go without replacing him with another striker. I do hope we're at least looking at a right winger with some pace as well though.

Have a feeling Tuncs will be no more come the end of August. Good player he will be, but not here sadly. He hasn't, and never will, imo, fit in with our style. That's not a critisism of Tuncs or TP it's my opinion that some players are best suited to different styles. And he ain't suited to ours. Don't worry, we'll have Heskey in to replace him......

I am slightly optimistic that Tuncay is the type of player that will stick it out. It is plainly obvious to me that with time, Tunny can fit into a Tony Pulis side, but it really will take some working at, and i think he will work at it. If he goes this summer it will be a great shame and i wouldn't blame him in all honesty.
But i think that with another summer working with Tony they can get the best out of him in this side, with arguably more quality around him as well.

Seeing as TP saved his arse from languishing in mid-table Championship mediocrity with Boro this season, when i don't think many clubs were rushing in for him. He should stop behaving so petulantly like a teenager in a strop when things don't go his way.
He's been very poor on numerous occasions this season, and that's his fault, not the managers, HIS!
But that's just my opinion.
Oh, and as an aside, just cuz he 'runs his socks off' dunna mean the sun shines out his backside, pray silence please for Richard Cresswell.

hard to tell really. his personality seems to be that way things get under his skin more than most. TP said that when he was talking about the walk off thing, he said being Turkish he is a little more hot headed and his personality is more outrageous than most !

I'm pretty sure he'll leave.
It's not just about being substituted, it's also about knowing that Sidibe is still on the pitch in many instances.!
For a man of Tunays calibre,... that must be the final insult.

Cresswell might have run his socks off but did he ever score, like Tuncay. Not wishing to get in some stupid comparison debate, even though you could say i started it. The whole reason i mentioned Cresswell, was because it was stated in this thread that Tuncay 'ran his socks off' as some sort of huge positive for us. Well people moaned about Cresser only running his socks off. How times change, as in most matches Tuncay has featured in, pretty much all he has done is 'run his socks off' That's why i mentioned the two in the same breath as it were, but just to answer your question, Cresser scored 13 goals for us i think, so yes, he has scored for us, like Tuncay.

Is Tuncay a stabilising influence on the squad?
Does he show respect to the management and his team mates?
Does he follow team instructions?
If the answer to any of the above is no, then I'm afraid he has to go and go soon.
Football is a team game, as soon as we become a collection of individuals (no matter how skillful) isn't that the time we start to decline.
The strength of our team is that they are a team. Does Tuncay contribute to the team ethic, I fear not.
Oh and Tuncay plays in a completely different position to Mama. You might as well compare him to Sorro.

As for Tunny i think he may well stay until next season for the very same reason he came to Stoke in the 1st place, money. If he doesnt get another club to match his wages he will stay, end of. I would love to see him stay as Ric isnt getting any younger and on his day Tunny is fantastic, i.e. against Fulham. I hope he stays and with the addition of a couple of good quality signings in the summer i think we could see the best of him on a regular basis

This thread (do we need another one?) is just depressing. There has been so many posters ready to shoot this guy down from the time he walked through door. It seems to be a Stoke City disease, especially directed towards our forwards. Its either adulation or derision on this board no in betweens (see Kitson) God knows I pity any player who shows an inclination for creative play who comes to this club for a sizeable fee.....they are all doomed to be written off as 'Big Time Charlies'. Tuncay if i was you mate, I would get out now, because its obvious 'we' don't want your type around here

The very large majority of people on this board have said tht they want him to stay but that TP may not think he suits our system. Having creativity is one thing but that doesnt entitle him to publicly show a huge lack of respect for the management team. That issue has now been resolved and we move on as a team
