I reckon that we could be having one or two more crucial penalties between now and the end of the season when there will be even more pressure than there was on Saturday. As a result, I think both Lawrence and Fuller need to think about their placement as both prefer the keeper's left side which has now become public knowledge. If he had not hit the post on Saturday, then I reckon Kiraly would have got to it anyway as he virtually had the corner covered.
I think Liam switched sides at Barnsley when he had two penalties so he can certainly do it if he puts his mind to it. Personally, I prefer Higginbotham's style of blasting them to the keeper's left.

n01,
Jesus, chill out a bit!
Oslo is just making the point that Lawrence should not place his penalties in the same location every time.

Christ almighty it's an observation-technically he missed that penalty on saturday I think, he just got lucky. More variation will be better imo.

He was lucky. It hit the keepers head an went in. It would have come back out. Personally I took great delight in that for all the time he wasted.

It was hilarious-I don't like Kiraly anyway and my anger towards him was extended on saturday by his antics-that was justice.

When he was on Soccer am, he also stuck his penalty to the right hand side of the circle so I reckon Kiraly had been watching this

No1's just an absolute dickhead, ignore him. He's actually about 15, he even posted it on the Rivals board and thinks he's the source of all football knowledge. God help you if you do actually want to debate or criticise, because he lives in blissful childhood ignorance he thinks everything is always rosy and no-one on or off the pitch can do wrong.

All this placing penalties never seems to work. Look at Gerrard and Lampard's weak efforts in shoot-outs. Best way to take a penalty is to blast it in the upper half of the goal...but then you have the large risk of getting a bit over-zealous and hammering it over the bar.
In other words, I'll leave it to the experts.

In fairness we haven't missed a single penalty this season.

n01, there is only one person on this thread trying and failing to look clever, I know its difficult but go through things slowly and logically and see if you can work it out

I have felt the same thing. Allof Lawrence's penalties are in exactly the same place and now he's taken a few the keeper knows which way its going. Kiraly set off before he struck it Saturday because he obviously has watched how he takes peno's. Surely it's better to vary them and do it before he misses not wait until he misses then think, oh he knew it was going there

no, makes you look loike one if the keeper doesnt move, I say that a firm strike aiming to hit the inside of the side netting is pretty hard to stop.
