they can keep Carragher. in all honesty i'd be happy with a Pennant-like right winger, and a better version of Mama.

Carragher? What a step down on Huth and Shawcross.
Stephen Ireland-always gets mentioned and it always bemuses me.

Scott Parker Kenwyne Jones John Carew Carlton Cole Tom Huddlestone Jamie Carragher Sorry lads but there's fucking no chance. Carew is not always flavour of the month with MON He's also a bit of a "lad" of course If randy decides to open up his chequebook this summer I wouldn't be at all surprised if Carew was made available. Then of course you've got to think how much Villa would want ... £10 million?? I don't think that would scare PC would it?

The money isn't the problem though, it's that the players are out of our league. Carew is a huge crowd favourite at Villa even if not with MON so him moving to a smaller Prem club would be hugely unpopular. You'd also think that if he were to go, he'd want a move to a Europa League club at the very least.

Have a horrible feeling O' Hara will end up at Sunderland/ Fulham. What you can bet your yearly wages on tho is 2 months of davesviews, 2 months of completley unattainable targets not dropping,10 zillion threads of " my mate is shagging the groundman at blah blah club who reckons that x, y or z is down the brit" And guess what, we'll open next season with Kev Kibane and Emile Heskey. And the Z man will still be in Spain.

Correct - instead of having £40million worth of 'footballers' hoofing it, we'll have £60million worth. I'll add another name to the list.. any fooker who can pass the ball in centre midfield.

Given his form at the moment and his lethal strike rate, I will settle for nobody else than Leo Messi coming into Stoke in the summer, although he'll have to wait it out on the bench until he gets "Pulis fit" and can prove he can add something more to our frontline than Mama can.

I've always thought Carew and Rodallega would be a superb strike pairing. I'd let Liam go and bring in Pennant for the right wing AND N'Zogbia to cover both wings O'Hara for attacking midfield with Deano to right back Belhaj for left back. I'd keep Higgy for cover when we needed to defend resolutely, though. Go on - tell me that list wouldn't get us into the Europa League. ;D Begovic Deano, Shawcross, Huth, Belhaj Pennant, O'Hara,, Delap, Ethers Carew, Rodallega With Subs from : Soro, Abdy, Higgy, Whelan, N'Zogbia, Fuller, Tuncay, Kitson, Wilko
