In the Prem from top to bottom the margins between winning and losing are minimal, one bit of magic, one bad mistake or one dodgy decision by a ref can be the difference between three points and no points we've seen this time and time again in our two seasons.
Yesterday Harry Redknapp came out and said how unlucky we were with the sending off but did Spurs buy the decision? Mid way through the first half one of their players (I think it was Bale) kicked one of our players as our player cleared the ball. Bale hurt himself and despite it being 100% his own fault the entire Tottenham bench came running off the bench led by Joe Jordan to protest about the dirty Stoke player! This was about as spontaneous as an episode of Emmerdale and MUST therefore have been a tactic to make the ref look at our 'rough house tactics'
When you get particularly poor/ weak/gullible refs such as Wiley or Dean they'll go for it 100% to cover their own arses. Add to this some brain dead Arsenal loving media types from the written press to pricks like Durham on talksport and we are fighting an uphill battle.
Maybe the next time an Andy Wilkinson is smashed in the head with blood pumping down his face, rather than jumping up and getting on with it ALL our players should crowd the ref our bench should ALL run on to the pitch and give the ref a decision to make!
Its all well and good playing in the right spirit but when there are 17 or 18 of your rivals gaining every advantage going the 2 or 3 hoonest teams are left at a major disadvantage.
Against the Arseanal Ladies team the other week Fabregas did not one but two kung foo style kicks from behind on our players and we didn't even go to ground! We should have got the stretcher on had a twenty man brawl and watched the dirty little runt Fabregas walk!
I'd much prefer all teams play like us (hard but fair) rather than the cheatfest that is currently the Prem, BUT if you can't beat em join em.....

Wouldn't say cheat but but make more of a meal out of a challenge against us, thought Matty did this quite well nearer the end of the game, I was like ffs don't piss about matt but it worked we got the free kick

One thing we can do without is Fuller and his brainless yellow cards it is almost as if he is begging to be sent off sometimes, what was the point of that challenge on Bale yesterday? As if we don't get a bad enough press as it is, we don't need him doing this or leaving his foot in or his laughable dives.

The honest image of our club doesn't get us any decisions though. When Etherington had a little roll around yesterday it resulted in Corluka (I think) getting booked and a free kick our way. You'll notice when our players get straight up we get nothing.
It's a sad indictment of the game, but that's how it is now. Simulation of fouls and injuries gets the ref to react.

Nope, I don't want to see our club stoop to those kind of tactics

Yes we do. If You can't beat them, join 'em! I hate it but cheating in this league gets You everywhere.

I hope we don't start cheating, diving or coming across as a bunch of twatters, a la Wegners ladyboys. We maybe could do with learning to be a bit smarter at times tho as clearly the odd bit of dramatics brings an advantage at times. Don't want to see it as part of our general make up tho. We're better than that....just every so often!
