I think I caught the fact that tickets were still available yesterday ?
I travel to every home game from Cambridge and go to all the aways in the SE yet I couldnt get a ticket for Chelsea as I couldnt get through on the phone.
It does frustrate me at times that we have such a flaky away support.

or maybe people don't have bottomless pots of money to spend, West Ham is my nearest game, but they can fuck right off, not giving them £35 of my money, would rather spend what limited resources I have at my own club. If league gates were still shared, i'd think differently, but they aren't so I'd rather spend my money on SCFC not WHUFC

Bet you wanted a Chelsea ticket though. At 10 notes cheaper I bet he did and I can't see the problem. That's his choice as it is every bugger else who has to balance personal circumstances and going away games. That's life.

Why the nonsense about preferring to give cash to SCFC? It's nothing to do with it, it's just a less attractive fixture.

Sorry but how come we can sell out out the 'glamour' fixtures but are left with tickets left over for a game like this ? OF course those that do go will continue to be magnficent in their backing of the team but the point Im trying (Failing !) to make is that its amazing how we manage to shift tickets so quickly for certain games yet cant even shift them all for a 'run of the mill' fixture like this

Bet you wanted a Chelsea ticket though. Not for the league game, i did consider the FA cup game, but when I saw we were only getting 3000, i decided not to bother wasting £10 on a phone call to be told they had sold out

Hows a 4 mile journey make it "less attractive" fact is we have far more chance of getting a win at upshitcreek park, but i've been there twice before, not a huge fan of it, its very overpriced and I don't feel like helping them out of their £100M debt with my money, maybe if you'd lived for 12 years in a West Ham area, you might feel as illdisposed towards them as I do, they and their "Acadamy of Football" self imposed nickname, and "we won the world cup" statue just make me want to burn their poxy ground down, shit on the ashes, and then knock over that fucking statue in a Red n White striped Bus. And don't even get me started on the traffic jams caused by all them mockneys coming in from Deepest Darkest essex every home game.

I was going to go until I saw the price of the tickets, for me and the family with the coach tickets as well I could book a weeks holiday for the same price.

Bet you wanted a Chelsea ticket though. I've been very critical of our (lack of) support on occasions this season (notably a pitiful 1200 at Hull) but don't see any problem with this one. Chelsea reduced the price of their tickets by nearly £20 for the cup tie and at least there is a choice of 2 tiers at Stamford Bridge, but West Ham are just taking the piss with their ridiculous £35 fee for one of THE worst views in the Premier League, so I can understand anyone taking a stance against it (and yes, I do have a ticket, as galling as the price is).

Lack of? How? Liverpool 3,000, the odd ticket left Birmingham, about 2,800 Bolton, 2,800 sell out Everton 2,600 Spurs 1,700 sell out Hull 1,400, after all was on TV so going to be less attractive Blackburn 3,000, sell out Arsenal 2,000 sell out Aston Villa 2,700, about 200 tickets left Man City 2,800 sell out Sunderland 500, weeknight and on TV, hardly surprising Wigan 3,500ish Portsmouth 1,000 Burnley 2,400 all but sold out That's not bad if you ask me. Especially when you consider similar sized clubs to us in this league have a very poor away support, such as Blackburn, Wigan, Bolton etc. Hull are only bringing a maximum of 1,300 for a Saturday 3pm game so I don't see how you can say our following there was bad.
