I've noticed all season the corner taker touches the ball, backs off, then shoves his arm up before fucking a corner up.whats this all about.we're getting shit at set plays.

think were just following other teams like some pick the ball up and lift it up over ther heads at free kicks

obviously the team work on a number of different set piece routines in training, so it might be to do with showing what set peice routine to play

I'm think its been a part of our corner/free kick routine for a while. I suspect it means either near post/far post or in swinger/out swinger.

If its Lenny Lawrence doing it it means he's sending the ball over every bodys head and out for a goal kick. Or if its Whelan it means its going to the closest defender

Etherington's steps backwards are very long and precise, but I've never worked the arm thing out. I'm much happier with him taking corners.
