Shocking. Unfortunately, for all his ability, he is far from a clean striker of the ball and always has had absolute howlers like that in his repertoire

Huge bobble made it look a lot worse than it was. Such a shame as at the time we were all over them and deserved it. Especially after such a weak sending off.

Shocking. Unfortunately, for all his ability, he is far from a clean striker of the ball and always has had absolute howlers like that in his repertoire By this stage of the season, stats don't generally lie and although he's put in some quality performances, as far as putting the ball in the net goes... not a good season Ric, today epitomised it I'm afraid, plenty of threat but not enough making it count

Bad miss just wish it would have fallen to Mama ! That would have been difficult as he was sitting in the dugout at the time.

tbf it did take a bobble as he swung his boot at it which made it look a worse miss than it was.

Still a total Stoke FC legend though.
Love the lad. Will go down as one of our greatest ever players and rightly so.
Okay he missed his chance, he went past 4 players then dived - but "that's Ric" and the guy has and is phenominal for us.

Nasty bobble but still a glaring chance. Was it Higgy who spooned it to him in the first place? Seems like nobody had their shooting boots on today!!

It was a bad miss which looked even worse on MOTD. He really needs to sort out his finishing, it's nowhere near good enough for this level. He's great at running with the ball and taking defenders on (which he simply couldn't be arsed to do today and should have been taken off before his miss) but if the end product is a scuffed shot or glaring miss like it so often is then what's the point? He's had a very mixed season but one league goal says it all, his finishing certainly isn't good enough. If we're going to progress again next season, I'm afraid Ric's role should be reduced to impact sub.
The commentator on MOTD said he was the one player you'd want the chance to fall to, but he's wrong. I'd have much rather had Kitson or Tuncay on the end of it.

Seemed scared to really wallop it. Any firm clean contact would have taken the ball towards the goal but Ric simply let the ball hit his foot which allowed it deflect off him in a totally uncontrolled way. Terrible miss, by our best and most important player, which did cost us at least one point.

After watching it again it was a worse miss than I first thought. He should have buried irrespective of a bobble. He was in a superb position and he could have even controlled it and then hit it.
Mama's miss on second viewing is just funny. If You didn't laugh at that sort of incompetance, You'd cry.
