One of the best players I've seen this season.
Has to be up there with Rooney and Messi.
Simply awesome vision and outrageous passing.
And I've always thought Walter Samuel and Lucio the world's best centre backs.
Inter taught Chelsea a lesson and made them look like a team from the Stone Age of football by comparison.

best performance I've seen from a player in a long time, then again - I didn't watch Barca last night

Agreed. He was absolutely superb the other night. And as I said on here the other night, I believe Inter's Maicon is the best full-back in the world at the moment. Superb going forward, and very solid defensively, a rare combination amongst full-backs these days.

Ditto. His vision was brilliant. He just kept putting the front two through with inch perfect passes that cut Chelski's defence apart.
And a word for Messi last night. Awesome player. The ball just sticks to his feet.

Makes Madrid's Dutch clearout look even more ridiculous.

Absolute class and he cost £12m, really puts in perspective the £15m Blunderland want for Kenwynne !!!??? ??? Samuel & Lucio best centre halves in world, you must be drunk, they wouldn't get in any top half prem teams

I can't think of a pairing that get even remotely close to Lucio and Samuel as the world's best defensive pairing (and that includes Ryan and Abdy!)

I had seen him a few times for Madrid and he looked average but was out of position. Against Chelski though he put in the performance of the season and i think it was better then Messi's as it was against better opposition and to completely control a midfield against some of the best players in the world in their own back yard, extremely impressive
