dissapointed with the crowd yesterday, yes 18000 isn't that bad but they brought a few and we had 20000 stoke fans in the ground not two weeks ago!
we need to get behind the team more than we do. At times are support is very poor, and for me we are too quick to get on players backs!
I think the club needs to adopt a loyalty system where fans who go the most games get proity on big games, and rewards for milestone attendences. This will surley encourage people to go to games and reward those who do stick witht the club through thick and thin.
For me, our support was sumed up yesterday, we were third in the league, 1 goal behind with 10 minutes to go pushing for the equiliser and 5000 people had already left!

if it didn't take 45 minutes to get off the car park I'm sure a few more would stay. I blame jezz Moxey ;D

I know many floaters who refuse to go purely due to how long it takes them to get off the bloody car park. They are too lazy to park a bit further away or jump on a coach.
If the car park was sorted i'm sure at least a couple more thousand fans would attend a bit more regularily.

The car park doesn't really bother me, listening to the post-match coverage on the radio whilst sitting in the car for 20 minutes is part of my matchday experience.
And the club do have a loyalty system in place... its called a season ticket, get's you priority on all big cup game tickets and your own seat in the stadium for the league games (hoorah!).

The car park excuse is pathetic. How childish an excuse. Not going because you have to sit and wait to get off the car park. Grow up people. I'm sure if we had a massive multi storey car park where it took seconds to get off then people would find something else to say is the reason they don't go.

It may be pathetic to us regulars but believe me it is a major factor to the fair weather fans.
They want to be able to pull up outside the ground at 2.55, walk straight in and then be back home for 5.

Like it or not it is an issue. My journey is over an hour (and i am sure there are some longer), so you have to start out early in case of delays and then the long wait after the game turns the day into nothing but hours of boredom in the car for a football match. There are enough police there to help this get sorted quicker but no help is given.
Are there many other clubs where the away fans get priority because I don't know of any!

I believe next season there will be a loyalty system in place. If we are in the Premier League demand will be very high, and often exceed the allocation we are given. This is the indication TS has given me anyway
Already, there is a minor loyalty scheme in position- whereby the ID cards enable the club to see who has bought tickets (although sometimes people buy tickets for other ID card holders)
I personally believe that the people who attend the most away games should get first priority on potential sell out fixtures (e.g. Colchester)

Buxton, it wasn't a childish excuse, read the post, i said they would stay, which means they are actually there. I normally rush off after about 89 minutes unless it's tense (like saturday) mainly because I have a few extra miles to go and one of my pet hates is sitting in traffic, it gets my blood pressure going through the roof, the wife has the bruises to prove it

The carparking situation does need sorting. It doesn't stop me going to games on most occasions but it does add the best part of an hour to my 140 mile journey home. Because of the crap parking situation I get home at around 8.30 pm for afternoon games and 1am for night games. Knocking an hour off those times would make the matchday experience much more pleasant. I have a season ticket and so I will always go if I can but if I didn't have a season ticket then the time taken to get off the carpark might well persuade me not to go to some games. If you are paying upwards of £50 per game for tickets and fuel then an hour in the carpark hooting your horn when asked to by Radio Stoke doesn't add much to the matchday experience.

NS You may think its a pathetic excuse but you have to face reality here. A lot of people have fallen out of love with SCFC for a variety of different reasons. Whilst some may be trivial to others the hard fact is that the club must do everything it can to make the match day experience as good as it can be and for many getting to and from the ground makes the trip not worthwhile. We may not think it a to be vaild excuse but it has to be addressed because the problems are self evident.

Liverpool operate a fancard system wheerby everytime you buy a ticket, merchandise in the club shop, season ticket, away ticket e.t.c. it registers & you build up points
the points then go towards proritizing ticket allocation for matches.

Regarding parking issues....get yourself parked up at Heron Cross, £2 is the most you will be charged. A 10-15 minute walk down to the ground, I live 20 mins from the Brit and I am usually home for 17:40, and that is being one of the last to leave the ground. No excuses really.

Live in Meir Hay and usually home for 17:15, 17:25 at latest, that is leaving after the final whistle, getting stuck behind the OAP's in the JSU on the stairs on the way down, then getting to my car and driving back from the ground ;D I think the car park excuse is just one that people have seen is an issue and will not quickly go away so jump on that bandwagon as everyone knows its an issue and cannot really deny it. I think the club know it needs sorting out, but I notice someone mentioned the Police being around to aide matters - they do not - just ask everyone who cannot get down Gordon Banks Drive by Greens when the Police are controlling the traffic - muppets.
