maybe its because its being played at their training ground, which isn't licensed as a spectator venue

Maybe so but they could of just let everyone in for free.
Trust me though they just don't want people snooping round the training ground

i only asked because i was talking to monica before the villa game, and she only lives 4 miles away from cobham, it would have been the shortest trip to watch stoke she would ever make

It was because the game was at the training ground. I'd imagine that like Clayton Wood the training ground just doesn't have facilities for more than a hundred or so spectators. That is fine for Academy games but no good for reserve games which can attract crowds of several hundred.
It (and all remaining Chelsea reserve games this season) have been moved to the training ground because of pitch problems at their regular reserve venue.

Not even 4 miles, only four minutes, damn it. What amazed me even more was that they wouldn't even allow the parents of our reserve players to watch the game! I saw a few people collect tickets, at security, but they looked like scouts. I tell you, I'm doomed......... Never mind, I got my kicks yesterday, upon seeing that the subway at the Brit, has been started. That means more to me than any number of helipads that Chelsea have probably got.

They manage to accommodate everyone for their Academy fixtures so why not this one?

Same thing happened with us and Arismendi earlier in the season Is this rule applied for local senior cup games that involves reserves teams, like The Manchester Senior Cup? If so, it explains why my lad who was on trial at ManUtd last October (v Oldham Reserves at Hyde Utd where they charged entrance fees) couldn't get on the pitch even though he was told he would be playing the second half. Either that or Sir Alex made other changes that meant he couldn't play anyway.
