Just looking over some stats and came across the goal statistics so far this season. www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/stokecity/4942890/Stoke-City-Football-Club-Statistics.html The leading goal scorers so far have 3 goals, and unless someone goes on a mad goal rush til the end of the season, its seems unlikely anyone will get 10 goals this season in the league. Just imagine where the club would be this season or even next season if there was that figure at the club who was capable of bagging 12 Premier league goals added to the current goal contributions coming from the rest of the team. How much more formidable would the club be in this league?

we'd be blown out of the water by Everton or Fulham for his signature

We don't create the number of chances though. We've had the fewest shots in the whole division, with the exception of Hull (and even they have had more shots on target)
And Fuller did get 11 last season - which was exceptional considering the lack of chances he was serviced with.

I'm convinced Tuncay would score 12 in a season if he played regularly up front Kitson is also probably capable But I'm afraid you have to play them , for them to score

We've had such an unsettled forward line which doesn't help. Ricci, Tuncay, Mama, Kitson and Beattie have all been first choice at some point this season.

Fuller tries to walk his goals in, Delap throws take headers, Sidibe cant shoot to save his life, etc Whelan and Etherington are the only ones who really like to shoot. very frustrating really

I bet Sunderland thought that when they signed Bent.
Rodallega would suit us so much though to be fair

Think Carlton Cole would score 15 goals a season for us Agreed If we just signed Cole or Carew or Pav plus the creative midfielder that would make us complete I wouldn't mind Lawrence on the right is we brougth 2 players Lawrence ----- Creative mid ----- Whitehead ----- Etherington Fuller/Tuncay ----- Cole/Carew/Pav FB

Hasn't our good friend Mr. Bent scored 15 this season...? Take his goals away and Sunderland would be 19th according to this article... www.skysports.com/opinion/story/0,25212,12038_5977021,00.html

If Carlton Cole joins us I'd be amazed. If I was Arsene Wenger that lad would be my first signing. He would suit them perfectly.

I'd want to get rid of him but Arsenal have bugger all strikers it seems. Vela isn't good enough and Eduardo always seems injured. I think Cole would suit them as he can hold the ball up, make intelligent passes and score goals. He's a good footballer and is strong. He may not be Wenger's sort of player but he is what they need imo.

Its about giving a striker a run of games..or have two strikers that work together well and hoping we don't get injuries.
Didn't Fuller get 11 prem goals last year and he started most games.
I think Fuller and Kitson would be a good partnership, give them time to gell like, Kitson is just a better Sidebe, but where does this leave tuncay ?
Ahh i dont no... im going on champ manager where my striker force is Messi and Drogba...and stoke are league leaders ;D night .

Lampard, D. Platt, (sometime back) were/are non forwards who had that habbit of scoring regularly from midfield positions. We had the chance to land the player to do that and replace mama at the same time but we didn't go for him.
He was a tall fella name Zigic.

In the ideal world we should break the bank to get a (realistic) striker - eg Carlton Cole if he's available. I'd also want to doubly break the bank by getting a top class CM -eg O'Hara to provide the ammunition.
