For me, we didn't turn up today. Worst we have played probably since before Christmas and its a real shame..Tuncay was non existent and our one real passer of the ball in glenn was off before 2nd half. Not are day today, Chelsea wernt brilliant by any means..two deflections and no real tempo to the game.. Still its been a good old run and we've just played an F.a Cup quater final game.. Well in stoke...now lets get to 40 points

If it was a choice to leave the competition to Chelsea or leave to Man City after the hideous amount of times they failed to compete against us, I'd say 'Good Luck for the rest of the cup, Chelsea' We've caused a few upsets and we met our deserving opponents today. We weren't embarrassed, we miss key players and were on the road. We'll be back next year

Can't really disagree. Just not good enough today. Didn't offer enough up front and didn't really get at Chelsea. Unlucky with 2 deflected goals but we did t create enough. Overall, disappointed we didn't show enough of what we can do against sidethat could have been rattled by us, if we'd have got at them. We've had a decent run, fun while it lasted 40 points it is then.

Maybe the worst we played for a while, but it seems to me the first time the opposition really did their homework. Big man on Sidibe, doubled up everytime on Fuller and worked their set pieces amazing well, defensively and attacking.
My ratings today:
Sorensen - 8* - Made some great saves today and had both goals covered if no deflection. Wilkinson - 7 - Not bad, made some better passes down the line. Collins - 7 - Did alright as well and made a few good tackles. Faye - 7 - Dillydallyed sometimes but made important clearances. Huth - 6.5 - A few good interceptions but sometimes just loses control & needlessly gives away set pieces. Tuncay - 6 - Ineffective, I really disagree left midfield is his speciality. Delap - 7 - Engine man again today. Whitehead - 7 - Couple mistakes but had a solid game. Whelan - 6 - Not enough in the time he was on. Sidibe - 6 - Just isn't working at the moment for Mama. Needs some time out methinks. Fuller - 6 - His poorest game for a while, but mainly for what I said above + no service.
Subs: Pugh - 6 - Ran into too many cul de sacs. ;D Kitson - 6 - Ran around a lot but got fouled a lot so couldn't produce. Shame ref didn't see the nudges on him. Lawrence - 6 - Not a lot.
Most of these scores are mainly down to how Chelsea played though, it just goes to show the standard we are compared to Chelsea. We desperately need a Drogba/Anelka and a Lampard.

Chelsea marginally better than us. Beaten but not disgraced. Just our bloody luck, their second goal was a deflection off Wilko standing next to Tommo, their player-don't know who he was- just in the right place to clear off the line. Thought we were a little low key today, Tuncay poor ball control, but subs didn't add much to our game. I suppose, looking at the price they paid for their players as opposed to what we paid, we can be satisfied. Well, I am, and just looking forward to getting the points to be safe, then go from there. Up the Brit on Wednesday to get my ST, happy as larry really.

Stoke looked like they knew their exploits were well and truly up today IMO. Tried a little but never really got at them but truth be known beating Man City and that shower of shit Arsenal in the previous roundsl is worth going out of the competition today.

I think that is incredibly generous to Tuncay!! Worse performance from any Stoke player this season. Is he injured?

We were away to one of the best teams in world football, who also have one of the best home records in the game. Add to that the fact we are poor away from home and missing our best 2 players in Ryan and Ethers as well as Higgy and it was always going to be a near miracle if we had got a result. We were poor and totally outclassed by a team of world class players. Although we are progressing brilliantly we are still a long way off a team like Chelski, so although its dissapointing to get knocked out its not the end of the world and the future looks very bright indded

Not a great game by any standards however we put up a reasonable fight against a very strong organised side who pass for fun are strong all over the pitch and have a fantastic home record.
A few seasons ago we would of been knocked out in first round by some lower league outfit so personally an appearance in the quarters and our 2 wins over Arse and Man Shitty point to a pretty good stab at it this season.
Thought the majority of the team showed plenty of effort and didnt disgrace the shirt.
Unfortunately and i and many others have said this before ,please Tony stop playing Mama he is absolutely useless and contributes next to nothing. We may as well start with ten men.
Altho it pains me to say it as i am a big Tuncay fan, today he was also pretty dire, nothing he did worked and he gets knocked off the ball too easy. Even more worrying his total running and determination seems to have disappeared but hopefully he will sort it soon.
Looking forward to Etheringtons return and hopefully 3 points in midweek at Burnley!

We came up against, probably, the best side in the league at their own place and lost 2-0. By no means were we disgraced. Let's not get above ourselves. Even the thought that we might get something there is a million miles from what we were.

We were awful. Thank goodness we have got 34 points already. Fuller not interested, Tuncay awful, Sidibe shouldn't be in the team. Delap, apart from his throws useless. I dare not go on, because I'm so annoyed and frustrated. You let me down today Stoke. Pulis Sort it out.

Bar the few dives early in the first half, I have to admire Chelsea's game today. A solid back 4, good distribution from midfield and sharp looking front men.
They looked committed and tireless.
We did have a go and that's all I asked. We just looked like we knew we had a mountain to climb from the go.
-Sidibe as much as I love him, he doesn't excite me.
-Ric had a few Ric moments where he looked dangerous, but 9 times out of 10, there would be 3 Chelsea players round him, looked slightly frustrated with the lack of decent balls to his feet or no one supporting him, Pugh was the only person helping him out until Kitson came on.
- The back four, we look stretched without Ryan and Danny. Whenever there was a Chelsea corner, the back post was wide open with no-one marking Drogbra.
-Tuncay looked even more featherweight that usual and his distribution and passing was off by a mile for his standards. Heres hoping Matty will be fit and ready soon.
We looked tired out as a team, constantly chasing a great Chelsea side. They made us look distinctly average.

;D So much for an essay, think you've got it mate. Someone said he disagree's about Tunch on the wing, I have to say I agree, he's just too lightweight, christ knows how he manages with the winds up the Brit.

Think we were very average, it was obvious that we could of done with Matty, Higgy and especially Ryan for the set pieces.
Can only wonder though how the game might of changed had Deanos effort not been cleared off the line :/
