Durham is just making shit up now, claiming Pulis tells the players to "go and smash into them", does he have any evidence for this smear ? .

"if he can't tackle, he shouldn't be in the premier league and certainly shouldn't be in the England squad" Dick! My houghts exactly and just to underline how much they're splitting hairs Ryan missed the ball by one tenths of a second and that might i add was whilst Ryan was getting impeded by Bendtner.

Anyone would be forgiven for thinking it was Arsene's purer-than-pure pretty boys against the rest of the world. The truth, as we know, is more complicated. Somebody email these to him: -

One the best players in Premier League history is Paul Scholes, and everyone just laughs that he can't tackle and just flies in and takes people out with dangerous challenges.
Funny old world in't it.

Send them images into him as well. Much, much worse than Ryan's. I know one got to play bad cop on the radio, but Durhams is really struggling to keep it going. You can tell how he's talking he's not convinced in what he's saying.

Is it just me? Ryan get's to the ball before he touches Adebayor, that's a challenge in my book, and that tap kept him out for a month ???

Wish i had listened a bit more last night, but i pretty sure on the Stand Collymore show last night they rang Durham for his views on a couple of things and i'm pretty sure he stuck up for the tackle.
Now the producer has said one's got to be good cop, the other bad cop and he's changed his mind.
Funny that!

Just sent this text in.
Whilst we are on the subject of suggesting that ryan shawcross should have pulled out of the challenge because he was not going to get the ball What you have failed to mention is that ryan whilst in midflow was impeded by bendtner and if this hadn't have happened would ryan have made the 10th of a second up?. Also after getting impeded does it then enter ryans head in a split second that he is not going to get the ball?. I feel this is a very important question to ask in what is an important matter.

For fucks sake Tazi give it a rest. It was a shit mistimed tackle that broke a leg. There was no malice in the challenge but it was reckless. Shawcross's game is based on playing on the 'edge' which is why you'll find him grabbing, pulling and intimidating players to gain every possible advantage. I doubt the views of this board won't be as 'understanding' if we ever have the misfortune of seeing one of our players receive a broken leg. You'll all be foaming at the mouth and wishing that the offender gets hung, drawn and quartered live on Sky.

Dont you tell me to give it a rest when i'm perfectly entitled to stick up for Ryan hence giving my point of view. If it's ok wth you just do one.

Squareball.
You say give it a rest and yet i only responded to that prick stating that Ryan should have pulld out of the tackle and yet Ryan only misses the ball by one tenth of a second. Now if that aint classed as a 50/50 ball then i dont know what is, so yes it was relevant for me to text what i did.
Squareball..............fookin oddball more like the way you came across just then.

All this fucking 1\10 second this, leg already bent that, foot off the ground blah blah blah. It was a poor tackle that resulted, unfortunately, in a lad getting a broken leg. There's no need to defend Shawcross as he didn't mean to injure anyone. Even Pulis has said it was a bad tackle. It's done with now - can we not move on and admit that things could have turned out better without having to look into every minute piece of detail in an attempt to gloss over the facts?

Of course it was a poor tackle based purely on the fact that it wasn't a good one because he didn't take the ball, but for Ryan to get slagged of for both missing it by one tenth of a second and not pulling out and especially after getting impeded by Bendtner whilst in midflow really is taking the piss and that is my whole point.

I just don't get what they expect to happen in response to this - the only way to stop an incident of this nature is to ban tackling completely. The players are not perfect so there will always be a case where the tackle is mistimed.
In fact in this case, a tackle wasn't even really involved, so I guess we will have to rule out any player going for the ball when its loose too.
