I want to confess to glory hunting!
I became a Stoke fan in 1982, aged about 12. I lived in Sandbach (near Crewe for anyone who perhaps doesn't know). Crewe Alex should have been my "local" team, they were in the old Division 4 (now League 2). Two of my school friends were from Stoke and I went with them to Stoke games.
Technically this constitutes glory hunting as Stoke were in the top flight and my home club should have been Crwho?.
Obviously shortly afterwards came the "holocaust" 1984/85 season. I was there! Poor old Bill Asprey. But I always stuck by the team. Stoke are my one true love in football and they always will be.
I would hope my former glory hunting can be forgiven. I never let go. The current rewards for this loyalty are just so sweet.

No,you are what is wrong with football. Ok, cool, I can take that. I mean, I live in Manchester now. I could have jumped ship in those bad old days. I could have gloryhunted around Manure. Would have been easy. (Especially as my family are from Manchester and are all Manure supporters). But I didn't. I'm still here. Surely I deserve some credit? But I accept all criticism resulting from my confession.

I think that's harsh, but I can take it. Know any good lakes?

Sandbach is south cheshire, south cheshire is in our catchment area, plenty of stokies who come from east shropshire too, and they shouldn't have to feel owt wrong with that either.
